Re: SWR at Radio
David I'm not sure what you mean by TRX ring? But if you look at the SWR bridge you will see that at all points around it, measuring with an ohmmeter will say there's a short to ground.?? Via the
Re: Is it really working completely? #atu-100
Hi, John First of all check with a multimeter that all relays switched correctly. And check also carefully a soldering for PIC nodes and 2n7002.

Re: Faulty ATU 100 EXT
Nope, the standard shipped hardware / software needs 5w min to tune. If you rewind the bridge and change the settings it will fund on about 1w. It won¡¯t tune on .2w at all Tim M0CZP

Re: Faulty ATU 100 EXT
Yea, Sorry. I read too fast. I thoughyt he said 0.2v and it was 0,2w.so it could be a problem with a pc board trace for sure. John

Re: Faulty ATU 100 EXT
The bridge does not change when in bypass mode. It's always inline. The firmware does read the voltages from the bridge independent of tuner mode / setting. So indeed, when in bypass you should see

Re: Faulty ATU 100 EXT
Hi Thanks to you all for your input on this problem, I think the general consensus is the voltages arriving at the PIC inputs from the bridge are too low for some reason. I'll rebuild the bridge

Re: Faulty ATU 100 EXT
John He quotes 1v out of the SWR diode detector but nothing at the PIC. glenn

Re: Faulty ATU 100 EXT
Steve If you trace through the schematic you will see the forward and reverse voltages from the SWR diodes are fed to the PIC via a voltage divider using 68k and 34k resistors..

Re: Faulty ATU 100 EXT
Auto tuning with 50w should not be a problem. It should work and it should read something close to the 50. Regardless of whether this is a PIC that has a 4 or 5 volt reference. I think these devices

Re: Faulty ATU 100 EXT
Steve, Try tuning it with 5W. If it works then you need to reduce the number of turns on the sense transformer from 10 to 5 and change the settings in the eprom (needs a pic programmer) so that it

Re: Faulty ATU 100 EXT
I'm not sure which pic controller is placed on the system but depending type the maximum input is between 4 and 5 volt for full power. Looks to me something not correct with the bridge or components

Faulty ATU 100 EXT
Hi Ive just been given a faulty ATU 100 EXT (brand new ready built unit). The display remained dark on powering up, I happened to have a spare display so replaced it which resulted in a nice bright

Re: Is it really working completely? #atu-100
I think it can be explained by loss in the inductors? If the cores are low Q than the measurements will reflect that. Best regards Onno Op za 27 nov. 2021 23:48 schreef john_mellars via groups.io

Hi. That is a simple Icom tuner interface, you can find a lot of info in internet.

Is it really working completely? #atu-100
Hi I built up an ATU-100. In general it seems to work. To learn more about it, I put a 50 ohm termination on the RF out port and put my NanoVNA on the RF Input and put the atu in test mode. I also

Re: Chinese clones - not working as expected #ATU-10
Curious, what exactly is the Ext port on the ATU-10 do. The github README does not describe it and on VK3PE schematic i can see the connections to RD1 and RD2 but that does not tell me anything. Any

Re: ATU1000 software ?
Hi Guys, Maybe someone will help me .... How to calculate the value that should be entered into Eeprom - cell # 31. I want to measure the power up to 1000W and I have 20 turns wound in the coupler

Re: Chinese clones - not working as expected #ATU-10
Josep The 3.5mm 'stereo' socket is designed to connect to an ICOM IC-705. It's a 1 to 1 connection, ie tip to tip, sleeve to sleeve and ground to ground. So, just make up a cable at length you need.?
