IC-7300 expansion board
Ordered the overpriced PCB from EBay which came without any info on a BOM and very vague schematic. It needs two transistors that are unidentified. If any one has built one of these and got it

Re: ATU-10 has been released...boards
Thanks to Glenn for his work in redesigning the pcb, I have only one PCB available, at no cost to YO (it's free). I hope that there are YO radio amateurs in this community who will want to build this

Re: ATU-10 USB C socket
Thats a good point Ellis. To be honest, I overlooked this but have made a note in the build document which is a link on Davids ATU-10 Github page. glenn

ATU-10 USB C socket
Hi all, I have started assembling my ATU-10 (VK3PE board). Using a scavenged USB C from the TP4056 board I was concerned that colder could get in between the shell of the USB C and the micro USB

Sourcing AO6604 for VK3PE board
I have received 1000 of the AO6604 parts in SOT 23-6 packages and intend to supply those to USA? ATU-10 builders so I can send them in a plain envelope. All I need to cover is the parts cost,

?Soldering through the hole elements was no problem with Sn96.5Ag3Cu0.5. I will probably switch to the bismuth containing solder for SMD components. Vy 73 de Rolf

Cell 01 offers three choices for type of display only, the second and third choice are both inverted. I can¡¯t find any other options. In looking at several videos and photos of the square display,

Instead of the 1 lb spool, a less expensive source of very thin (.010 inch diameter) wire solder: https://www.amazon.com/Kester-24-6337-0001-Solder-1ounce-30feet/dp/B076CX7KVY Much easier to work with

Lead-free solder is difficult to work with (higher melting point, narrow eutectic range, and brittle).? Use?Sn63/Pb37 until you are experienced. One trick I use when hand-soldering multi-lead SMD

Inverted OLED
Just received a case for a ATU-100 that I built from a vendor on EBay. It came with BNCs, switches, hardware and OLED. After getting it all assembled I now have a working tuner with an inverted OLED.

Re: Soldering SMD
Paste is good for SMD components. You probably want to keep a bit of wire solder handy for through hole work, and especially for things that are not on a PCB.

Re: Soldering SMD
Lead-free solder has three disadvantages compared to 63/37 solder (Sn63Pb37) with lead. Its melting point is significantly higher (220C vs 183C), which means that your soldering iron needs to be
