Hi Glenn That is good idea with USB connector . Use a low voltage bulb in series to battery to protect the board before first power on.

Thanks David, that appears to be I bought also. I also found this board which is the TP4056 charger with the USC C connector on it also. So you get both parts to remove. Item 402353617147

Re: Wire Length
I was thinkin about putin a 4:1 on it so its not too deaf but as a L match it should be able to match a reasonable wire length but for 29 feet what bands have u managed to tune soo far?

Re: Display issue when Transmitting
Been a bit busy with other things and finally got around to following the advice from David.? I shortened wires with a couple of turns on a ring and routed away from the other coils - after running

Re: Wire Length
The real issue is the impedance you're trying to match. If you have been using a long-wire alone, try constructing (or buying) a 9:1 EARCHI matching transformer. The designers of the 9:1 un-un antenna

Wire Length
What wire length is needed to tune from 160-6M? If I have nearly 40M wire on it I can tune 80-10M or sometimes 40-10M But if I have more say over 40M of wire it STILL wont tune 160M but it will tune

Hi Glenn, I found a PIC16F18877-E / MV source where you can buy it, but the shipping cost is very high. DL to HA, DPD delivery fee is 15 EUR and VAT is an additional cost. I hope you find a solution.

Hi Aaron, Indeed, after the modification, the inscription " *up to 10W* can be used" was omitted. Mark it carefully so that this does not happen again. Although input protection is a preventative

This microchip 8 bit microcontroller forum postings offers a solution for protection of ADC pins: https://www.microchip.com/forums/m633586.aspx I don't think cannot be fitted to the current boards.

Sorry it cooked!? If it's any consolation, the first Field Day I went to in the late 70's ended poorly for one the guys in the group.? He brought his spanky new TS-820 for one of the station

Re: N7DDC Ext Board QRP Mod Overload
I was suspecting that might have happened. It did come with a nice case for it, so worse case I can get a kit and use the same case and let no one near it. Thanks for the help guys.

Re: N7DDC Ext Board QRP Mod Overload
I suspect you have fried the PICchip. Reason, it is using an ADC input to measure voltage from the input transformer. If you have modded it for QRP ops then running 100w into it will generate a higher

Yes sir I triple-checked. Are you referring to the ones that are circled in the above picture? I have the measurements of the resistors in the photo, I'm unsure of how to measure the diodes.

N7DDC Ext Board QRP Mod Overload
