Thanks for the update Tony.
I was just wanting to confirm what was being put on GITHUB

Re: ATU-10: an alternative PCB layout?

Hello!

In case you have got the PCB, - here is the firmware (based on David's v1.4 for ATU-10 and "symmetric ATU" sources) for the PIC16F18877 chip.
The other PIC (the PIC16F1454) should be programmed with .

Apart from the AD8361 added support - I did not change much, - only the "POWER OFF" message now appears when the unit shuts down after 30 minutes of "sleep time".

Warm regards,
Tony

Seems like I forgot to put them on GitHub. ?

Okay, I will try to test when I get back home.

Hello James,

This is perfect you are right, I did it too. this is for ATU-100

I just said for ATU-100 modified or not, there is not test firmware.
Test firmware is only for QRP ATU-10 this is an other project.

Re: Checking an ATU-100 FW Ver. 3.2 #atu-100

David and Patrick,
I have attached a link from IK3SSG and his work on getting the ATU-100 to QRP levels. This is what I did a year ago. I do have a Pickit3 to use to reprogram if needed.
https://youtu.be/dPys_-_wPcQ
Let me know your thoughts, I have used this ATU-100 for over a year with no issues until now and I believe very close output for SWR and Watts according to my a secondary mfj meters.
Thanks for your help
James

Re: Checking an ATU-100 FW Ver. 3.2 #atu-100

Hi Group , David, James
?The test? firmware is only for? qrp ATU-10? not ATU-100?
?I could be wrong but I have never seen test firmware for ATU using 16F1938

Re: Checking an ATU-100 FW Ver. 3.2 #atu-100

Hi, James.
You have to flash your tuner with programmator Pickit3 and special testing firmware you can found on GitHub.
After test you have to return to working firmware back.?

Re: Programming & compiling from github source code

Katsuhiko

Thank you for your message.
However, I think the hardware of the ATU-100 is normal. Because it works fine with the original N7DDC firmware.

Re: Programming & compiling from github source code

That sounds like a hardware fault. Check the solder and components around the binocular ferrite core. That is the circuit that detects the SWR.?

Re: Checking an ATU-100 FW Ver. 3.2 #atu-100

David,
Do I need to open the firmware to activate the tests or just press the Green reset button and check to see if all the relays are on?
How do I check manually?
My documentation was a minimum, basically a schematic, list of the parts, coils sizes and 1 picture.
I will say it has run flawlessly for a year.?

Thanks for the help David.?

Re: Programming & compiling from github source code

Katsuhiko

Thank you for always providing useful information.
My ATU-100 compiles successfully in an MPLAB environment and looks fine, but doesn't tune. Even if 10W of power is injected, the power display is 0.3W, which is probably the cause. I searched the source code and found no cause. I apologize for the inconvenience, but please give us some advice.

Re: Checking an ATU-100 FW Ver. 3.2 #atu-100

Hi. There are 2 test firmwares , you can use both of them to find burned transistors or bad soldering. "Fast test" just turn all the relays on and you can check everything with multimeter.
"Manual test" allows you to operate all the relays manually.?

Checking an ATU-100 FW Ver. 3.2 #atu-100

Greetings,
Is there a written point to point test menu for checking problems for an ATU (China)100? I built it over a year ago and no problem, including dropped software the unit to recognize my QRP radios.?
I am now using a 9:1 UNUN random wire at my shack and had some RF get loose in the shack. I resolved that completely, but I believe my unit is not working correctly now. Seems like less relays working to change the load to the radio.?
A short version of how to check would be appreciated.
The Firmware version is pictured below.
Thanks for any help

Yet another Chinese ATU-10 #ATU-10

Hi All
A local Amateur in VK3, VK3LOL,? sent me a picture of his ATU-10 PCB, bought recently. Many thanks, Rob.

It's interesting in that it uses the larger PIC devices, that I used in a version of the ATU-10.

Even more "interesting" is that is has my callsign on it!?
....".VK3PE, v 1.2, NOT OFFICIAL"
....."10 Jan 2022"

In fact, it's not a copy of my PCB design at all, but probably another version built from the Sch I published with component placement (still 0603 res and caps) similar to the N7DDC original.? Like the N7DDC, it mostly has no component Ref numbers.
It does make provision also for the small PIC16F1454 and possibly the PIC16F18877 under the one shown.

Hi all..just purchased one of these to use as a remote tuner¡wondering if I could just leave the buttons and the display off and set it for auto tune¡.I will be mounting it in a weatherproof electrical box next to the antenna so no need for anything¡
