Re: ATU-10 3x more DC Current in SLEEP & OFF ??
#ATU-10
Hi Glenn.
I have already been studied the the schematic, but can't find any reason to this in the hardware, and any other software don't give any changes, bus it must be software related, to when it blanks the display, in standby or OFF mode. It is by the way, the ATU-15 model, that looks like to be the ATU-10, but with the two LED's in the front. 73 de OZ3XO - Stig. |

I can't help directly with the problem but a copy of the Schematic drawn by myself is available on David's Github page here... It should be pretty close to your Chinese ebay purchase although Ref numbers will not be the same. Glenn vk3pe |
Inverted OLED display
Aaron K5ATG
Hello,
I bought a ATU-100 from ebay. It is one that operates off of internal batteries. It works pretty good and the only issue is that it has an inverted OLED display. I took off the front panel hoping that I could just flip it and i looks more complicated than that I contacted the seller and it appears like he is gone with the wind. As I said it works pretty good. Is it possible to flip the OLED? Also if it is possible would it be a complicated procedure?? Thank you |
Impedance match range for ATU-100.
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý
I am working on a story on how a AT-100 might be useful fora rig with a built in autotuner.
Now I? need info on the impedance range of the ATU-100.
Also if anyone has skewed the ATU-100 to very low impedance, like 4-5 ohms.? For very short antennas.? Think 80m on mobile whip.
Please include your callsign, to be included in author list
Cheers.

Re: ATU-10 How to upgrade firmware?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Dave, Have a look at the thread from a few days back called " [ATU100]
Firmware version 1.6 for ATU-10 #file-notice" - there are details
in there for modifying the parameters and resetting the checksum.
The instructions are from David Fainitski in a message from the
13th November. I haven't done it, but? the instructions look clear enough to me. Best Rgds., On 24/11/2022 17:22, Dave Redfearn,

OK, more reading and I think I have it sorted out.
I really like Notepad++. I have used it at work for editing long command text strings. Happy Thanksgiving! - Dave, N4ELM |

OK, I read the GitHub file more closely and figured out the process to load the .hex file to the USB drive, so that worked and I'm ready to do some testing.
But what if I want to modify some of the firmware parameters from the default like "Time to Power off". Thanks - Dave, N4ELM |
ATU-10 How to upgrade firmware?
#ATU-10
I have a couple of ATU-10s to upgrade from 1.4 to 1.6 firmware.
I bought these off Amazon and noticed the OLED display connections are soldered to the programming pins. The example picture off the GitHub redme.md also shows the OLED soldered to the programming pins. Do I need to unsolder the OLED pins to connect the programmer or can I leave them connected? If I do have to unsolder the display pins can I replace the wire with a header and Dupont connectors? Thanks - Dave, N4ELM |

ATU-10 3x more DC Current in SLEEP & OFF ??
#ATU-10
Hi.
I have a new ATU-10 from ebay, that in SLEEP ( Display OFF ) and on OFF State, has a DC Current of 35 mA, but is OK, at only 12 mA, with display ON. I can't at any diagrams see, what it can be, other that the PIC it self. So do anyone have a clue on this problem ?? 73 de OZ3XO - Stig. |
Re: Which Pickit for programming firmware
Hi Bill,

My ATU-100 has the PIC16F1938 chip which is supported by the PICkit 2 and 3 programmers (and presumably future versions). Same for the PIC18F2520 which is also supported in the design for both the mini and extended boards. Like you I've been looking for a cost effective programmer and pretty much settled on the PICkit 2 as the knock off ones are cheap and appear to be well reviewed - although I haven't bought and tested one for myself. 73, Matt "Bill" <sloper1@...> writes: Hi All - |
Which Pickit for programming firmware
Hi All -
I am interested in getting an ATU-100, and also would like to be able to update new firmware as it becomes available. I see that you need a Pickit programmer.?? Which version will work - there is a large difference in price between the different versions, and I am on a limited budget. Thanks Bill |

I am unsure what you mean by "After changing the values you will need to change also the last bite in each modified string - checksum". What exactly do I have to do?
Thanks Denis KK5DB |
Re: ATU-10: an alternative PCB layout?
Oh I hope the necessary firmware modification will be done soon, I built one board and wanted to give it as a Christmas present to a fellow ham :). Is there anything I can do to help speed up getting the firmware?
What is actually the problem with the current firmware? Is there any way to modify the board to work with the current firmware as a temporary solution? (These are questions for Anton/ZAO rather than for Luca.) |
