Re: low power tuner options help
Well, I just put blinders on and followed what everyone else said to do for the QRP mods. I wanted 50 instead of 40 watts. So, I pulled 3 wraps off the transformer (for 7). I programmed the firmware

Re: low power tuner options help
Stuart, if you wanna use 5 Watts or less for tune you have to make some changes, known as QRP mode. In any other cases use stock values . Will work fine for 20-40-50 Watts.

Re: low power tuner options help
HI, thanks for the reply. I understand the power less than 100w. I'm going to run this with my (tr)uSDX and my Chinese USDX/USDR, and my Xiegu G90. I was really just asking for the basis of the turns

Re: low power tuner options help
Stuart, you can use 100W tuner with 50W power with no any changes. But if you want to set a tandem ratio to 7 you must change also appropriate cells also because it is the base of correct power

Re: low power tuner options help
Old topic, but I need the guidance. I'd like to see the algorithm or the spreadsheet. 40w is just a littlte too low for me I'd like to mod the ATU-100 for 50w. If I change to 7 turns on the tandem

How much power to run the ATU-10
I think there is a minimal power to get the ATU-10 running? but I dont know what that is. For example, will my FX-4CR running at 5 watts power the ATU-10 for tuning? or do I have to buy an Elecraft

Re: ATU-10 field antenna options #ATU-10
Thanks Nikita. I can't see any red glow in any seam. But when I turned it on battery was full. So I guess I'm good.

Re: ATU-10 field antenna options #ATU-10
Thanks! I was thinking of building a small 9:1 unun myself and using a random wire.

Re: ATU-10 field antenna options #ATU-10
It won't charge on a "smart" charger. Plug it in a simple USB port. You can see the inside led glowing through the seems when charging.

Re: ATU-10 field antenna options #ATU-10
The electaft ax1 and a k6ark efrw. The efrw has a shorter wire for up to 40m and a longer wire for up to 80m. I use the 80 on camping trips during contests that run over night.

Re: ATU-10 field antenna options #ATU-10
There is an LED on the inside of the case. ;) Of course, the battery indicator on the display will go up as it charges. 73, Scott AK5SD

Re: ATU-10 field antenna options #ATU-10
On the little ATU-10, is there a light or anything to let me know when it is charging? Just plugged mine in and I see nothing to let me know. Thanks. R

ATU-10 field antenna options #ATU-10
Hello! What antenna are y'all using in the field with the ATU -10? I'd like to be active on 10-40, but 60-80 would be great too, even if not that efficiently. I have 2 poles, a Sotabeams tactical

Re: Help with ATU-100 Tyny Version ATU-10 QRP
Hi, Robert The max watts are about 15. 5 Watts are the best for tune . A power from trx goes to in connector and comes out from out.
