Hardware / software wish list
Hi All,
I'm new to the ATU-100, but an old hand on the PIC processors (done 100s of projects)!
I'm looking at the current hardware / firmware and already have a wish list of features.
I'll probably

Re: Test framework for ATU-10 code
The screenshot may look like garbage if viewed in some proportional fonts. Looks OK for me on my browser
Basically anything with a 0 is within 0.1 of the ideal SWR match possible. Tuned using your

Re: Programming & compiling from github source code
You should look at https://github.com/WA1RCT/N7DDC-ATU-100-mini-and-extended-boards
I have only forked the repository to be sure I have access to it even if the original author removed his

Re: Test framework for ATU-10 code
Hi, Tom
I can install MinGW 64 or VS2019 on your choice, I am not a C programmer on Windows, prefer Python.
I still don't understand how to recognize those numbers but I wanna do it.
I guess the

Re: Test framework for ATU-10 code
I checked in another update into github here: https://github.com/tomcourt/tunetest
It has two copies of your tune algorithm, one in a file called tune1.c another called tune2.c. To allow this to link

Re: Test framework for ATU-10 code
Hi, Tom
Yes, practically E3 row works much better and provides higher max value.
Unfortunatelly I dont have any MAC and I dont know how to use your code. Would be better you wrote it using Python, but

ATU1000 PROBLEM
I have connected a dummy load 100 ohm at the output of tuner and try to tune it.
I can tune the load over 14Mhz with swr 1.0 and i can see at the lcd, caps and coils have been added.
Unfortunately

Re: Programming & compiling from github source code
I've just ordered a kit, and been looking at the code.
I've done lots of PIC projects in ASM, and using XC8, and don't want to get involved with MikroC.
I searched but didn't find that any one had

Re: Test framework for ATU-10 code
This updated impedance.c (attached) fixes the bad test results showing up in the original code. It shows which test points give a worse impedance result than possible. It also shows how a count of how

Yep, the doesn¡¯t show the tune algorithm the frequency. It only interfaces with the algorithm by presenting the current SWR, and the tune algorithm feeds back using the relay command. Power is

Re: Test framework for ATU-10 code
Hi, Thomas
your work is very valuable, but the original tuner algorithm does not see a frequency of signal, only SWR and power level .

I know I'm replying to an older message, however this might help someone in the future.
I had the same issue with my ATU-100. SWR 9.99 and EFF 33% all the time regardless of antenna etc.. I was

I've been reading through some of the messaging for the ATU project and reading the code. Concern for reliable tuning is often expressed. I gave some thoughts on how to test this and I came up with

User manual/instructions for the AT-10
I have an AT-10. With one button, it seems I should be able to tune the
antenna/radio with no problem, but uh, no. Is there a user manual for it?
Also the three connections on the back "in" is

Re: torroid mix
As John said, don't use powdered iron cores for your tandem match. It will increase the insertion VSWR of the circuit, which is what you are trying to measure. Use #43

Re: torroid mix
Almost certainly not. You will note that the ATU100's own SWR bridge is built on a binocular core, not a toroid. The spares will be for the RF inductor section, maybe mix 2 or 6.
