Re: where to find software that works for the pickit 3 programmer?
Hello! Are you aware of the PICkit minus ( http://kair.us/projects/pickitminus/ ) project? It worked for me nicely (on win10/64 with a Chinese PICkit 2 clone). Huge thanks to the author of that

Re: 0805 parts_ATU-10 PCB
Tony. No. I followed Davids original board. In my writeup i mentioned temporarily connecting it to power which is what i did. Later i think i found if you plug the USB cable into your PC it will

Re: 0805 parts_ATU-10 PCB
Dear Glenn, Is there - on your PCB - the connection between the ISP pad #2 and the power circuit of the PIC16F1454 chip? On the original PCB there is no such connection, I had to solder a wire (

Re: 0805 parts_ATU-10 PCB
Dear Glenn, Does your PCB provide a connection of the ISP pad #2 to the power circuit of the PIC16F1454 chip? I ask because the original PCB does not have that trace. I had to solder a wire (

Re: ATU-10 USB-A to USB-C problem
Hello! To close this topic: * yes, the XPRESS firmware that is present on the PIC16F1454, if it comes with the DM164142 demo-board, is not usable for the ATU-10. But its' crashability is not the sign

Re: ATU-10: programming the PIC16F1454?
Dear Robert! Thank you for the elaborated answer. I thought everyone who built the ATU-10 device knows that there is no connection between the power supply network of PIC16F1454 and the pad #2 of the

Re: ATU-10: programming the PIC16F1454?
Hi Tony, I can't understand your comment re the wire to supply the voltage to the programmer. All you need are the five connections from the PICkit 3 to the five points (J2) on the ATU-10 PCB. You

Re: ATU-10: programming the PIC16F1454?
Dear Robbie, Thank you for the comments! My previous attempts were made WITHOUT the wire that would supply the voltage from the programmer, so the chip was powered with 3,3 volts throughout. (I've

Re: ATU-10: programming the PIC16F1454?
Tony, connections to the ATU-10 PCB were 1 to 1, 2 to 2, 3 to 3, 4 to 4 and 5 to 5. There's a 6 on the PICkit units but it isn't used here. Pin 1 on the ATU-10 PCB is marked with a 1 and is also a

Re: ATU-10: programming the PIC16F1454?
Hello! Forgot to ask in the first message: * is it normal that I have to manually search for the chip type? It is only recognised by its' ID if I choose the Device Family -> Midrange -> 1,8v MinII

Re: ATU-10: programming the PIC16F1454?
Dear Robbie, I'm about to add a wire from the programmer's pad #2 to VDD pin of the PIC16F1454 chip, may be - temporarily - removing the LDO stab (to avoid possible damage by reverse voltage). I

Re: ATU-10: programming the PIC16F1454?
Tony, I used MPLAB with the PICkit 3, but you have to make sure it's set for 3V3 in the Advanced menu - the app's default is 5V so it would always fail the programming sequence. Robbie M1ROK

Re: Bypass for ATU-100 with only one button?
Yes, if the relay is non-latched type (usually yellow in colour), it will be reset to off stage when no power is applied. Mine version is ATU-10, it uses latched type (white in colour). It keeps in
