Re: PIC16f1938 and changing eeprom
I have tried with various approaches so far but none is working. I even installed VMware and valid windows XP os and still it did not work because of the USB interface.?
I surrendered and ordered a pickit 4. It's multiple times expensive than the target hardware. Once I got it running (I hope it will) I will think about a possibility to change settings through knob sequence instead of the need for a programmer device. The current approach to change eeprom settings is not user friendly imho.? |

Thank you David and VA3RR for your comments.?
I found??to be quite helpful but it raises the question : When a schematic reads "4mm Air Core" does this mean 4mm from wire center to wire center ( taking into consideration the wire diameter as per the above calculator ) -or- the ID of the coil ( as in what drill size to use to wrap the coil around ) .? I suspect that VA3RR's comment that it does not matter much , but with a larger wire, large overall diameter and multi-turn , it might. And here I am picking nits again. Thanks to all. Committing to solder. Al K7AOZ |

Hi.
The tuning process will start automatically when large SWR is registered. The most advantage of using External control connection to IC-705 - a tuning process will start automatically every time when you change a band with no requarement to touch PTT and choose eligible mode. |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi David,Thanks for information¡ What do you get when connecting with a 3.5 mini jack cable? ?As you disconnected, the tuner continues to tune automatically when changing frequencies. ?I do not understand? AT-100 build validation : L1 , L2 , L3
Al K7AOZ
Good day all. After watching too many YT videos on the AT-100 , I admit I have one question remaining.?
My kits paperwork shows L1 as being a 3 turn on 4mm giving a 0.05uh value. I have seen built kits on the videos that have a 3 turn L1 and? 4 turn L1.? In one video , the builder shows the 'manual' and I can read that his paper reads a 4 turn L1. My own feeble testing shows that the 3 turn is too low in value and the 4 turn is about right ( 0.023uh vs 0.049uh ). Was there a board version change that prompted the 4 turn L1 ? ( e.g. a change in cap values requiring the change ) or is that an older version? So.. should I proceed with the build per my instruction sheet , or build per value - testing each toroid before committing to solder? Thanks - very much looking forward to the end product. Used to be that if a kit had toroids on it , I'd run as fast as I could away from it. Now , I quite enjoy the fiddly little things. Al K7AOZ |
Re: ATU-100 firmware ver 3.2 has been updated
Hi, Is there some documentation on how to compile the source code? Perhaps I can contribute too? Hi, people. |
ATU-100 firmware ver 3.2 has been updated
Hi, people.
I dont remember who exactly asked me about this problem, sorry. Firmware 3.2 has been updated, display off timer issue resolved. Ignore this update if you don't use a display off timer. All the files and sources on Github as usual? https://github.com/Dfinitski/N7DDC-ATU-100-mini-and-extended-boards/tree/master/ATU_100_EXT_board |
Re: PIC16f1938 and changing eeprom
I hope someone has experience updating the pic processor using command line instead of installing an ide to just push the bytes to the processor.?
I can access the pic processor, read the data and write data to the processor. It even works a little bit I expect I'm doing something wrong updating the eeprom. But I don't know what to look for or check. |

PIC16f1938 and changing eeprom
Hi,
Hope someone has experience with the following; Ubuntu OS, pickit 2 and pk2cmd. That's the current environment I have available. I am able to program the PIC CPU but it seems I am doing something wrong with the upload of eeprom.? I had a working (default) atu-1000. (Kw) but wanted to change some parameters as well upgrade the firmware. It was my understanding the hardware is wired the same as atu-100.? How do you flash the eeprom to the pic normally and what settings are used??? Hope someone already figured out pk2cmd and changing settings for the atu-100.? Unfortunately I lost the eeprom settings of the original flashed content. Perhaps someone in the group has as working hex file?? Thanks very much in advance! Best regards Onno |

Hello ,
Someone tested communication and automatic operation with the ic-705. Do you have to set something up in icom? Marek SQ7BCN |
Re: ATU-10 has been released
Thanks Glenn,? The overlay by value is how I found it,? R1 was the only resistor not populated so I went looking for it.? This sort of thing is to be expected in such a project, working it out is half the fun. Apart from that the build is going well, just the regulator?to fit on the underside.? The mosfets and relays are the hold-up on the top.? Time to order the toroids from GQRP club sales. 73 Ellis G7SAI |
