Hi Glenn, The type designation distinguishes the 3-pin and 4-pin connectors with a hyphen and an additional number. So there are 4-pole and there are also 3-pole PJ-311 and PJ342. See here:

David There's some potential 'confusion' here I think, as the IC-705 TUNER socket is a stereo type ie 3 contacts. The parts (socket) you have specified, *are both 4 way connectors*.?? Not sure why

Hi Glenn. What are you meaning ? That is simple connection with 3.5mm Jack audio cable. Everything else works like AH-705 tuner, very simple, nothing interesting.
