Re: Misc.thingsfor genral discussion.
H I Mitch,
I have built 2 so far and they work just as good, if not better than some of the LDG tuners out there.
As far as the cases, I have printed a bunch of different ones. The one in the

Re: Misc.thingsfor genral discussion.
Hi Ron, Mitch,
I finished my build a few weeks ago. Bit of a delay waiting for a small perspex screen, but it's all built now.
I've collected a bunch of photos, videos and other information. May be

Hi Grant,
Thanks for all the info and sharing it with all of us.
I'm sure it would help those that are missing oarts and need to find them.
I just saw that Alliexpress is selling the kit with all the

Re: Misc.thingsfor genral discussion.
Thanks for uploading the 3d print files Ron! I just built my kit except for winding the coils and torroids. I am printing the case now. Had to order a rg led, but that shouldn't hold things up.

Re: Wiring up RB1 & RB2 for ATU100 extended
Dave,
One is for Bypass mode and the other is for Automatic mode which goes into tune every time.
I forget which one is which off the top of my head.
Be careful soldering to those little pads. Save

Re: Misc.thingsfor genral discussion.
Mitch,
Glue the double toroids together with a little Gorilla glue, clamp them and let them sit over night before you wind them,. Makes it a lot easier.

Newly constructed ATU-100 - no smoke so far!!!
#photo-notice
I just finished putting together an RA0SMS-kitted ATU-100. The T68-2 toroids seem to be the real deal, unlike some of my previous Ebay purchases. My only regret is not picking up some thinner solder

Newly constructed ATU-100 - odd testing results
I've been bench testing (ok, kitchen table) my newly constructed ATU-100, kitted by RA0SMS.
I was comparing the measured inductance with that shown on the 1602 LCD by connect my DE-5000 across the RF

Thanks for the picture and explanations. I noticed those vias while I was building, but it didn¡¯t click in my head that¡¯s what they were for!

Well, that was short-lived. Who knew 2N7002 mosfets don't like to be accidentally shorted and will release the magical smoke... lol and hi hi.
Not to worry - I have mosfets on order. I do think

Russ,
Sorry to hear about you Moffett.
On the inductor issue. I have a feeling you might be also looking at the capacitive reactance when the processor is just telling you what capacitor or

Re: Newly constructed ATU-100 - odd testing results
Ron - I think it was a combination of cold solder joints on the 16F1938 and perhaps a solder bridge.
In the Fast Test mode, all of my relays were activated, so that's why I'm thinking a solder

Re: stuck in tune mode
John,
I have seen this before. You must have a steady 5 watts or more for it to tune.
That is adjustable in the program but frown apond because of in inaccurate tuning..
