When you shut the program down, the CoseCmd statements take it out of KISS mode, so it should be in Terminal mode when you open PuTTY.? That part is working.

This may have something to do with it.? After forcing the KAM into KISS mode the program worked for several hours.? About 5 minutes ago I shut the program down then opened PuTTY to find that the KAM

I do not believe the empty lines would be an issue for XML.? It looks for the <> keys to parse - could be wrong.
As for monitoring remotely, you can still open a LOGGING window to see any error

Actually, those work for a KPC3 and KPC+.
The commands used to put the KAM into KISS are different - exit is the same.
