? SUCCESS!! I never gave any consideration to the green LED like I should have, that was a very big clue and I missed it.
Once I changed the configuration of AMODE and ABAUD everything fell into place and starting working. I was testing
using W4GCW-8 so if you look at it on the APRS map you'll see where I went around the block.
? You've been very helpful and I really appreciate your efforts.

First question would be: Does the Green LED flash for some time, then go solid?
? If not, then the TT4 is not getting the GPS data.
Are you using a splitter that allows both computer and GPS?
?? The Byonics splitter has a port for the computer and one for the GPS with proper connectors.
?? Without a splitter, you must configure AMODE and ABAUD must be set to the GPS configuration.
?? BMODE and BBAUD won't matter without the splitter
???
NOTE:? The TT4 always starts out at 19200 baud and after initialization, changes to the ABAUD and AMODE settings.? This means you can still make settings change on PORT A, even if it is set to GPS.
If that isn't it, you need to provide more details:
?? What firmware is in the TT4?
?? Explain you connections to GPS and radio
?? Post your settings and we can review them to provide more comments.

I'm trying to resururrect? my old TT4 and need some help. All I'm using is the tracker with a gps antenna, do I need
to program two ports or just one? I have it configured to what seemed correct to me but when I install it in the car it
doesn't track. The TT3 I've been using tracks fine so I'm guessing the gps antenna is good. Any suggestions would
