Let's use this chat to find and make a list together of the "dark promises", meaning: warnings and flat-out statements of what could happen to us when we don't work the program. For purposes of this discussion how about we start at the title page and cut it off at page 181? Anything between those two parts would be fair game. I'll start with one:
