When I was new in AA, and asked to read Chapter Five at meetings, I would ?accentuate certain words and phrases to get the ¡°real message¡¯ across, but mainly just to show how smart I had become! Fortunately, this practice was short-lived. ?I now I try to do this reading in black and white-plain vanilla¡ªnot to speak certain words/phrases louder or slower than seeming less important ones.?
