Re: Sequence of AA early AA meetings

The King School Group #1 in Akron celebrates its anniversary from July 4, 1935, the day Bill Dotson got out of Akron City Hospital. Until 1939, that group would have been meeting weekly at T. Henry and Clarace Williams' home, presumably as the Alcoholic Squad of the Oxford Group. I suppose the question of which came first is arguable, but I've always considered the Akron Group to be first and have never heard anyone claim that the New York group preceded them.

The sources I used for a write-up on Bill Dotson that included these details are: A Narrative Timeline Of AA History, p. 17; AACOA 71-73; AABB 184; BW-RT 219-220; DBGO 81-89; NG 37, 319; PIO 152-154; GB 42; AGAA 202-203.

Bob, do you have sources for all the locations you mention? I thought this New York Group had also met at Bert Taylor's tailor shop and then the 24th Street Clubhouse. When was a second group established in New York?
