All, Jimmy asks a good question here that I'm sure will be asked again,?so I'll answer it now. As our rules state currently, our maximum number of ML protects are 12, which we all currently have right now.? 1) There will be a 23-round draft to allow each team to get to 35 players. If you use any of your picks on players with minimal usage or ineligible players (below minimum usage to play), do it at your own risk. 2) There are NO free agent pickups allowed. 3) If you trade away ML players and/or picks you may need to play with a roster under 35. 4) We have a 110% usage factor. 5) We allow unlimited usage of hitters with a .600 or less OPS. 6) We allow unlimited usage of pitchers with an ERA or 6.00 or higher. 7) The limitations for AAA players were lowered drastically this year to avoid teams stashing away useful players with lots of available usage and depleting the draft. With all this being said, we have 24 teams in this league drafting from a base of 30 MLB teams. 110% usage PLUS unlimited players. This should not cause problems if you draft/trade properly. There is more than enough usage to go around. I think the rules are fine as they stand now. If there are enough of you that feel that a 35-man roster is not enough to cover usage, we can consider voting to increase to 38 and extending the draft by 3 rounds. However, I'm sure we'll have the same issue because some guys will trade 3 players for 1 better player, or useful players with good cards for future players, etc., and then sweat out over usage penalties. The usage of 110% will not be changed for this year. We already voted on that. Free agent pickups will not be allowed? If two or more managers respond today and ask for a vote to increase the ML roster from 35 to 38 and add three rounds to the draft, I will put it up for a vote. I don't think this would favor any specific teams doing it before the draft starts.? Ken On Wed, Jan 8, 2025 at 11:32?AM Jimmy Rogers <jmyrgrs@...> wrote:
