No. You might get away with using a 3L V-belt for a little while but all of the link belt is too wide and would run (for a few seconds) only on the OD of the pulley. Robert Downs Sent: Thursday,

Thanks guys but no luck on a step pulley that small. I am wondering if a 3L or 3/8 would work for a drive with link belt. That would be a 3/8 belt on a 1/4 lathe pulley.

Try McMaster carr. Or make one. I know - how without a lathe. Many of the DIY guys use a basic wood pulley to get a lathe running. Then make an al replacement..

Its an MT0 --- zero. But its an odd size zero. slightly smaller. A standard MT0 will fit the spindle. Chris (CB)

Jonathan You have to remember these lathes were designed as inexpensive hobby lathes. Keeping that in mind they have their limits. Improvements to "any" lathe can be done. But ultimately you still
