SKCC has been promoting a month-long on-air event called "SKM" - Straight Key Month in January 2024. The most event stations of SKM 2024 will get on the air during the final hour of SKM. In memory of Konstantin Khachaturov, RT3A (ex: RU3AA, UW3AA, UW3HV, UA3ART), a great CW operator and contester and the founder of the U-QRQ-C. Date and time of the contest: Every year on January 29 — on RT3A’s birthday. 1st period 7 MHz 19.00-19.29 UTC 2nd period 3.5 MHz 19.30-19.59 UTC Band: 7010-7040 KHz and 3510-3560 KHz Mode: CW only Categories: A — Single op HP (more than 100W) B — Single op LP (less than 100W) C — Single Op QRP (less than 5W) (A = HP+LP+QRP; B = LP+QRP; C = QRP only) Exchange: 599 + membership number for U-QRQ-C members, 599 + NM to all other participants Call for contest: CQ HV or WSEM HV Multiplier: no multipliers Score: Each valid contact counts 1 point. The final score is the total number of valid contacts. QSY (Sprint) rule: If a station makes a QSO after a CQ or QRZ he/she have to QSY at least 1 kHz from that frequency to continue the competition.
