Dear A1CLUB members,

SKCC has been promoting a month-long on-air event called "SKM" - Straight Key Month in January 2024.



The most event stations of SKM 2024 will get on the air during the final hour of SKM.

Date & Time:
2023/01/31 23:00Z-24:00Z

Frequencies:
PSE check out

Exchange:
for the SKCC members: normal SKCC exchange such as real RST, SPC, NAME, NR (use straight key, bug key or side swiper)
for the non-SKCC members: just real RST and CW name (Paddles are OK)

TNX for your SWL on AWT.

We know that 12:00Z is too early for W guys to participate in AWT and not the best CONDX period on 40m now.

I always participate in the CWT of 13:00Z and didn't hear anyone on 40m last night. :(

Just wait until March. AWT will be a good chance to meet more A1CLUB members, I'm sure.

Dear CW Friends,

In memory of Konstantin Khachaturov, RT3A (ex: RU3AA, UW3AA, UW3HV, UA3ART), a great CW operator and contester and the founder of the U-QRQ-C.
Date and time of the contest: Every year on January 29 — on RT3A’s birthday.

1st period 7 MHz 19.00-19.29 UTC

2nd period 3.5 MHz 19.30-19.59 UTC

Band: 7010-7040 KHz and 3510-3560 KHz

Mode: CW only

Categories:

A — Single op HP (more than 100W)

B — Single op LP (less than 100W)

C — Single Op QRP (less than 5W)

(A = HP+LP+QRP; B = LP+QRP; C = QRP only)

Exchange: 599 + membership number for U-QRQ-C members, 599 + NM to all other participants

Call for contest: CQ HV or WSEM HV

Multiplier: no multipliers

Score: Each valid contact counts 1 point. The final score is the total number of valid contacts.

QSY (Sprint) rule: If a station makes a QSO after a CQ or QRZ he/she have to QSY at least 1 kHz from that frequency to continue the competition.

Awards: Memorable prizes will be awarded to participants who take first place in each category. Downloadable electronic awards for all participants will be available.

In my QRH, CHIBA Prefecture, I only felt a little shacking when the earthquake alert was issued by my phone.


It’s about 19:30 here and TV news say that TSUNAMI warning continues at for the Sea of ??Japan coast side.

Epicenter was in Hokuriku JA9 area.
Even in Kanto JA1 area, I felt quake swing was not so big but it lasted minute or so.
Tsumani and fire are reported in Ishikawa prefecture. Details are still unkown.
Terrible new year day ...

A1CLUB has a simple Web Chat for QRG and some communication at?


and the ID es PW are both “599”.

SRI the page is mostly in Japanese so try some translation of browser.

Also the Giving Back program (GB) is being held every evening at 10:00Z (7PM JST) around 7.028 and 3.528.

? ? As a new memeber,need some info.
Are there some specific QRG for A1 member to communicate on 40,20m bands?
? ?Since i am using 5w QRP and efhw antenna want to be involved as much as possible frequency range is important for me.
? I have worked some JA stations on 40m and 20 and 10 as well .
