I am not much of a contest person, but I like to use them for practicing CW. Are there any JA contest calendars like this:
This isn't always accurate for JA contests. For example, they list the KANHAM Contest happening this weekend, but this year's contest happened in April according to the JARL site.
I often hear JA stations calling TEST, but I don't know what contest they are participating in. Is there a local listing website that keeps track of JA contests?
How much CW activity from the ARRL Field Day in the USA can be heard in Japan? I realize that it depends on a number of factors like antennas and band conditions, but I wondered if A1CLUB members have had success in the past.

Hiro san, sorry I was late to the party. I would have been able to copy better if my local noise floor had not been so high. Even the -101D noise reducers weren't quite up to the task. Anyway, it was good to know that you were on the other side of the QSO. What rig were you using? I was barefoot, 100 w out. BTW, I have been looking for JA SKCC members on 15 and 20 around 2300Z +/-.? Also, I saw your msg on SKCC. io sked site but it took several minutes to establish my membership and by the time I succeeded you had QRT. I left a DM there for you anyway.? Vy 73 de Paul W1PR
