Consider to add such exchange once the base function got stable. Need to define a call database that contains also name.

the best CW practice is to be on the air, like in AWT. But not always the situation permits activity on HF bands. When Hiro-san asked what we do to practice CW I replied: using Morse Runner (VE3NEA), even I'm not a contest guy, it helps to get better and faster.

However there are many situation (like travel) where I could not run MorseRunner, as it is a Windows software.
?
To overcome this limitations I have re-create Morse Runner as Web-Application (Javascript) from scratch. It runs in the browser without local installation.?
Meanwhile this website covers 100% of my personal used Windows Morse Runner functions, this is about 80-90% of all functions.
Even Web Morse Runner is very new and I'm still bug hunting and optimizing, I personally started to daily practice with it.

This early "Christmas Edition" of Web Morse Runner can be accessed for evaluation:

A1CLUB shares member lists with only A1CLUB members.
Try "cw" and "denken" if ID/PW are required.
Maybe the following list is an easy one to convert as you like.
It is a fixed-length, CR/LF terminated text record format.
Column 0 is "'" which indicates it's a data record.
Column 1 to 6 is the call sign.
Column 7 to 18 is the NAME.
Column 19 to 24 is the JCC/JCG number.
If you'll distribute your Morse Runner with AWT, let me announce it to the A1CLUB JA mailing-list.

Dear Bill, thanks so much for your test on Linux. Happy it works on Linux. Sometimes I'm on Linux too and testing. I have mentioned the Morse Runner Community Edition in my documentation as well. There are simple reason for me to not yet use the community edition. I like to start with the basics and Web Morse Runner is based on my Mac/Linux port that allows me to debug in case I can not explain some functions (running Mac for dev). In general Web Morse Runner is very open for "community" contributions. The javascript environment makes it likely easier than Windows/Pascal for people to contribute.
Android: I don't have a test device. In the past I made experience that come people had outdated/limited browser version. I need and use very new browser-functions. Trying to limit to functions available in all the latest versions of Chrome/Firefox/Safari (Desktop). I hope the automatic 599 issue is limited to Android platform and works on Linux (it works for me). Izumi-san reported the same, but she reported about the "SPACE" keyboard shortcut, that I'm missing still (but Enter should work).
Happy if you can provide a GitHub-Issue or even a Pull-Request.

This works great on my Linux machines (Debian 12 and Fedora 41) without the need for Wine or Crossover to run. It's not as full featured as the Morse Runner Community Edition but the ease of use in a browser window makes it really handy.
On mobile I tested on GrapheneOS, an Android variant. The default Vanadium browser, based on Chromium, seems to have sound issues. It sounds like a pileup with lots of QRN regardless of whether Single Call or Pileup is selected. In the Brave browser, also Chromium based, the sound issues aren't present. However, using the on-screen keyboard it is a bit difficult to use. Unlike the original MorseRunner, the 599 isn't entered automatically, and hitting the enter key after adding the "Nr." sent doesn't log the contact and clear the fields.
I think this has a lot of potential. Thank you for sharing!

As QRQ operator: HST contest mode is still missing. But I'm currently working on CONDX (QSB/QRM/QRN/Flutter/Lids) to make it little harder for the advanced CW operator,... Dear Hiro-san. Yes, I hope it works. As I also run in trouble with the mute button, I documented this tipps in the Gihub Readme file.. Technically speaking: Web Morse Runner can work with BT headphone to not destruct others.? The latency is sufficient as you not using a real morse key.? However practically: the Morse Tone is so efficient (we all love it!) that it might escape headphones in commuting trains and as of the nature of contest logging it is not fun with a virtual keyboard (my personal feeling).? Some people (e.g. for POTA) log with mobile devices, and my logging software Rumlog has pretty good iOS support. Dear Izumi-san, thanks so much for testing.? There are a few keyboard shortcuts missing, but I assume what you like to use is the ESM (Enter to send Message) system that is actually available, but instead of Space I have only assigned the Enter-key (as the name suggests :-) ).
As people new to contesting of morse runner might have question I put it into the documentation:
So, this should work:? 1) <Enter> to send CQ? 2) Listen and enter call you copied <Enter>-key to send call, rst, nr? 3) Cursor move to NR automatic 4) Listen and enter NR of DX station <Enter>-key to send TU 5) Fields are wiped and cursor back to Call for next QSO automatic.
It should work, but you need to press <Enter>-key instead of <Space>. This and few others are not (yet) implemented. I have added a documentation on all supported keyboard shortcuts to the documentation. Just asking: I personally use DL2RUM's Rumlog Contest Module as I'm on Mac and this is good enough. Rumlog is using "Enter" key as well. Have setup the same macro function keys and the experience on air was very much identical. Suspect something like N1MM-log is using "Space" instead? Just asking as adding more keyboard shortcuts is easy.

the best CW practice is to be on the air, like in AWT. But not always the situation permits activity on HF bands. When Hiro-san asked what we do to practice CW I replied: using Morse Runner (VE3NEA), even I'm not a contest guy, it helps to get better and faster.
?
However there are many situation (like travel) where I could not run MorseRunner, as it is a Windows software.
?
To overcome this limitations I have re-create Morse Runner as Web-Application (Javascript) from scratch. It runs in the browser without local installation.?
Meanwhile this website covers 100% of my personal used Windows Morse Runner functions, this is about 80-90% of all functions.
Even Web Morse Runner is very new and I'm still bug hunting and optimizing, I personally started to daily practice with it.

This early "Christmas Edition" of Web Morse Runner can be accessed for evaluation:

Maybe during Japanese New Year (正月) some A1CLUB members have no access to HF antennas and still like to practice the beautiful sound of morse code?
