Re: SKCC - ASIA SKSA

A very exciting story, Mark-san. I have some like goosebumps, you know? hi

I have no experience calling DX from /p or /m in my life but certainly i guess I would have excited if I could have worked some DX with less PWR and shortened whip antennas.

I will QRV on the next SKSA and the RandomGram#3 for sure. Of course I¡¯ll show my QRV FREQs on SkedPage.

I¡¯ll I GOTA with JJ1FXF and JO1ZZZ, A1CLUB¡¯s club station and hope to work you and other A1CLUB DX members on SKSA and RG.

Let¡¯s cross our fingers!

// HIRO, JJ1FXF

Re: SKCC - ASIA SKSA

Hiro-san,

Years ago, before cell phones,?when I was working, I would drive for almost an hour in some stop and go traffic. I believed I could operate mobile HF cw. It was a joy to find a dx calling and be one of the first to answer. I spent more time on the rig in the car than at home.? I asked SKCC group for a number that I could use in the auto with a bug - 1550. I could not get the bug to work in the auto. So back to the keyer. I retired in 2016; no more /m driving to work. NM5G, KEITH and I work the Texas QSO /m in September which is a lot of fun.?

Never know when the propagation will work; I do use?the SKCC SkedPage and will leave your FREQ there during the RandomGram, Event #3: July 21/22 @ 20:00 - 05:00

AWT? -- JF1NHD? I regularly work - and not able to find others.

Ciao,

after several months of QRT finally the new 15m 5el Yagi (OWA) is ready again at IB9T contest site. Still it is only about 14m high from the ground, but it is about 480m a. s. l., good take off and will surely do a good job; we hope to raise its height as soon as possible; Wednesday, I will be qrv 12z AWT and 13z CWT especially on 15m to test the antenna, before the IARU HF World Championship, towards JA and USA/VE direction and I hope to contact as many A1CLUB & CWOps Friends as possible!

Re: SKCC - ASIA SKSA

JJ1FXF, Hiro-san,
Thanks for the congrats on obtaining the "S" endorsement. I remember operating /m HF cw on the way to and from work and asking for a number easy to send on bug; received SKCC NR 1550. I am glad and use the SKCC LOGGER; an easy way to track one's progress and submit for endorsement.

Have put the RandomGram, Event #3 on the calendar and will ask for a list of
registered?transmit list?of random code groups;? just in case.

Welcome to RandomGram Nr. 3!

This will be a 9-hour session starting Fri July 21st @ 20:00 UTC, ending July 22nd @ 05:00 UTC.That is Friday afternoon/evening for most of us; Sat morning for the OC/AS region.

Teams for Event #3 (optional). Once again we will have STRAIGHT KEY, BUG and SIDESWIPER teams. Additional teams or multi-op groups may also be formed.? Team membership is open to all and is completely optional. Operating on a team is no different than otherwise. Team scores will be compiled from individual members' scores. If you're interested in joining a team just email your call sign and team preference to [email protected]

Some reminders & operating hints:

- A transmitted group earns 2-points; a received group is 1-point (if accurately transmitted, copied and submitted);
- For maximum score, make sure to send a new code group with every contact;
- For additional points you can log code groups exchanged between other stations;
- Work the same stations on the same band multiple times and exchange additional code groups;
- Submit your list or log of received code groups anytime to obtain your current score.

For more details see the FAQ

New TX Lists (code groups) will be distributed for this event. Code groups from previous events are not valid and will not score. Obtain your registered TX List by emailing your call sign to [email protected]?

You can see the Event #3 roster of participants, team assignments and updated results in the RandomGram Group on Groups.io

Re: SKCC - ASIA SKSA

Hello Mark,

Thank you for the Info!

Yes - it is nice to see how active stations from Japan are during SKCC events.

I am also glad to see that there is a high activity in Japan during the "Giving Back" training program of CWops for new CW operators.

Seen the good propagation conditions on the higher bands all this may become even better.

...And - for sure - Congrats for being a SKCC "Senator" now !

K5GQ Mark-san,

Congrats on your "S" of SKCC endorsement.
