Grease wheel bearings
15
Hi all. I'm going to attempt this job myself as all the RV places in my area are booking into August and are quoting 4 hrs labour. My 2016 Ranger has the EZ Lube system. I've watched the videos and have two questions: 1. Assuming my Tacoma jack will fit, where do I put the jack stands? Do I need two per wheel? 2. Is there any particular kind of grease to use? The current grease appears to be pink. Any other tips appreciated!

Wheel Jack Procedure
2
As mentioned in previous post, I'm going to grease my wheel bearings (2016 Ranger 15 with EZ Lube fittings). - Assuming best to do with roof down of course. - Do I raise the stabilizers and remove BAL tire leveller so camper is just resting on two wheels and jockey wheel? - Then jack up one wheel (chock the other), keeping jockey wheel as is? Grease bearings and repeat for other side...

Roof weather strip - silicone caulk
5
Hi all. Replaced the 4" weather strip on the roof the other day and have seen comments about the silicone bead that goes on either side of it. Debating whether this is necessary or not, have seen comments that it's not required and will separate after 1-2 years anyways. It will be very difficult for me to do, so I'd be happy to leave as is.

Another refrigerator fail
16
Our Dometic refrigerator door came open again on a rough twisty road last week. After getting home we found the door cracked at the top hinge pin allowing it to sag away from the latch. Is my only fix buying a new door for $400 from young farts parts.com? New door or not I want a positive latch to hold the door closed while traveling. I had a rubber door wedge in place but that was not enough. joeS

Refrigerator Fail
7
My fridge (Dometic Model 2353), which has performed flawlessly for 15 years, woke up dead at my last outing last fall, and I¡¯m just getting around to dealing with it. Won¡¯t cool on shore power or gas. What diagnosis does that bring to mind? Is it toast, or are there remedies short of replacement? I have scoured all posts for ¡®refrigerator replacement¡¯ and the first 500 for ¡®refrigerator¡¯ before going cross eyed. Any experience or suggestions in here? -- Alex Sproul '05 Classic '02 Suburban

Water leak
5
We are staying just outside of Atlanta and had a big thunder storm last night. We have been in many other storms just as bad in our ¡®22 Classic but this time we had a large water leak on the rear door side corner, soaking our bed and a little of the storage area below. I found that I had inadvertently pinched down the little flexible gutters at the top of the dormer so the rain water could run down the side of the roof instead of away from the wall. I had done this on both sides but only got water on the door side. The water was running in near the spring. Cloud this have been just the gutter or should I be lookin harder something else? Thanks, JoeS

Remounting Spare Tire
4
2015 Aliner Classic 14" tires with factory spare tire mount on the rear bumper. I am having new tires ( Goodyear Endurance ) mounted and balanced and getting rid of the Chinese Spare that is 10 Years old and remounting one of my old Goodyear's ( 5 Years Old ) that is still in good shape as the spare. I haven't seen any information in the users manual as to the torque spec for the lug nuts on the spare. I also haven't found any information about how the metal plate that helps holds the spare to the spare tire post is to be positioned for the second lug nut. Could someone post a picture of the spare with the two lugs and how the metal piece fits. Thanks for your help. Jack

Complete New Floor
3
Well, my plans have changed. My original intention was to remove the roofs and A walls so I could fix some wall alignment issues, and replace a hinge seal. Today, after pulling my dinette area apart, I discovered a substantial area in the middle that I could have pushed my foot through. I have already replaced the entire back half up to the front wall of the bed support, as well as both front storage areas. And I know the area under sink and fridge is questionable. Considering how much I had already disassembled, I decided it was just made sense to go all in and replace the whole floor. I had previously made up my mind to use Coosa board. It is rot proof, but I'm not sure if I can get it in a timely manner. So I'm asking for any alternatives you all may know of. I only plan on doing this once. Where is VIN NUMBER on A-liner Scout
4
I recently bought an A-Liner which the former owner identified as a 2018 Scout. I do have the Title and it does state this is a 2018 Scout and it does give a vehicle number. I think the paperwork could be wrong when I look at photos of other A-liners of that vintage. I just want to verify the VIN number and then ask the A-liner company to tell me what model and year I actually have. In no way do I think the original owner deliberately misled me. I just think a mistake may have occurred in the past.

Battery Question
6
I had a dead battery from WalMart (used a battery tool to check) on my 2010 Ranger that I replaced with a Die Hard Platinum AGM battery. I connected the battery the same way that the previous battery was connected. I have very limited knowledge about batteries And wiring for electricity. Does anybody have any tips as to what I may be missing? Thanks in advance for your support. Jonathan

Wall covering falling off
6
Does anyone know if replacing an Aliner's wall covering is something a novice could do? Or should we take it to an RV repair place? We had some water leakage while the camper was in storage and now the wall covering is falling off. We're hoping to sell the camper, so we need to take care of it properly. Thanks for any advice!

2011 Ranger converter problem
9
after hooking up a new battery, after winter storage, and not plugged in, the meter on the converter registers full power. When I turn on any of the cabin lights, it all goes dead. Replaced all the fuses I could find. When I plug in, everything works fine. Any ideas where I should start my search?

trouble with converter
3
I am having trouble with my converter whereas I have a fully charged/new battery and when I try turning on a cabin light everything goes dead. I have switched out every fuse I can find and before I try and test every wire inside the converter was wondering if there is an obvious solution I'm missing. When I'm plugged in everything works like a charm! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thomas Wilson 2011 Ranger

Looking to replace original deep cycle battery
5
We have a 2020 Aliner Family Expedition and plan on getting a new deep cycle battery. We do not plan to get a lithium ion battery but maybe an AGM battery. Our refrigerator/ freezer operates off electric and we plan to get a 100 watt solar panel setup that can hook into the factory installed hook up. Is an AGM battery a better choice than a regular deep cycle battery? We do not want to have to replace the components that were factory installed. Thanks, Nate Beaston
