Folded trailer seals

I put a piece weatherstripping between the front roof edge and the top of the side wall, so when folded water can't get in.? The weatherstripping is stuck to the inside of the front roof edge.? You can't stick it to the wall because that would get in the way of raising the A wall.? The weatherstripping only goes from the front of the trailer to about 2/3rds of the way back, where the overlap with the rear roof begins.

But now when I setup the trailer, that new weatherstripping seals with the A wall, but it doesn't go to the peak.? So when water comes running down the bottom of the metal roof edge, some of it will splash above the seal, and wind up inside the trailer in the front corner.??

Just curious how other trailers solve this problem.

Steve, if you are talking about the very peak of the side walls and the roof panels after the weather stripping ends where it is just the roof panels exposed on the inside of the camper, I noticed a small gap on my camper and didn't want any mosquitoes entering through it so I put a small bead of silicone caulk where the panels meet.? This still allows the rear panel to slide under the front panel and at the same time sealing the gap.? I'm not sure how long this will hold up, but so far so good.? I don't know if this will stop your situation with water infiltration, though.

Reading my post again, I guess it wasn't that clear.? By "front roof edge" I meant the front roof panel, where the metal edge on the side of the front roof contacts the side wall of the camper.? From the factory, the gap there was so big I could stick my fingers through it.

The picture below is looking up at the side of the front roof edge.? You can see the weatherstripping I stuck in the roof to A wall gap going down and to the right.? That is stuck to the inside of the roof edge. I also stuck a piece of weatherstripping on the A wall that has to exactly match the end of the weatherstripping stuck to the inside edge of the metal roof trim when A wall is pressed against the roof edge at setup time.? This is the only way I can think of to do this, but I've never seen anyone else do it.
