I have been making the replacement a/c covers.? They are made out of marine grade vinyl and heavy duty thread sewn on an industrial sewing machine.? Just send me an e-mail to kitemaker4@....

Susan does a fine job of making that A/C covers. ?A product much superior to OEM.

Sue, if the covers you make fit a Carrier AC from a 2001 Aliner which has the plastic tube at the top which slides into a channel and bungee loops at the bottom I'd like to get one.

Each a/c cover that I make is a custom fit cover.? You measure the outside of the a/c and I take the measurements and make a cover to fit your unit.? There is no one size fits all when it comes to covers.? The plastic tube to talk about is part of the c-channel
and yes I sew that part onto the new cover.? I do not sew on the bungee loops at the bottom of the cover, I instead have a strap that wraps around the whole outside of the unit that you tighten that helps keep the cover on.? I can send you an e-mail with a
picture to help show the strap.

?? I think it is great that you make these for others.? My aliner air conditioner cover was missing when I bought it in 2008.? Should the current one eventually need replacement I will hope to find your email address.? It doesn't currently show up for me to capture it for future reference.?

I just found a cover that was close
enough on Amazon, then got 10yds of 1/8" stretch cord to wrap
around it.
and
I actually cut the straps that were on
the cover off (as I discovered the 1st time, they're pretty
useless - they loosened up and the wind destroyed the first cover
I had). I then used 1 set of fasteners from those straps to
connect the 2 ends of the stretch cord (I didn't want to be
tying/untying knots!)

OK. I'm replying to myself... Actually I contacted a local sail and boat cover maker about a cover for my Aliner AC. I know that they do good work, but they want about $100 for a custom made cover, in green to match my trim, with the same attachments method. Seems a bit steep but I have not found any other active cover maker through this email group. opinions? other sources that are still active? I have a couple days to decide. Thanks.?
