Re: Camper Wiring Guage
Thanks, I understand it now.? I'm glad you mentioned power cord.? I hadn't thought of that, and I'm sure I have a good extension cord I can sacrifice.

Re: Camper Wiring Guage
Probably no benefit to increasing wire size, except for wires that run
from your 7 pin Bargman plug to your camper battery, DC-DC Converter

Re: Camper Wiring Guage
Be careful when using the stranded wire for 120vac - the breakers and outlets are designed for solid wire (especially the breakers)- if you go the stranded route for the 120vac wiring make sure you

Hi Don:
Found a photo of 120 volt wires:
The gray wire is for the right brake. The red feeds the AC, orange wire to an outside outlet, white wire a power strip with USB charge points under the

Re: Camper Wiring Guage
Hello Don:
It isn't obvious but the Green/Yellow are ground terminals and are common to the mounting rail. I've tried to color the other terminal groups the same. Each group is made common by the

Carl,
I'm not sure I understand how these are wired.? For example, how is the massive bundle of white negative wires I have in a giant wire nut dealt with?? Where does the line come in and the

Carl, I don't see anything bigger than 12 gauge in your posted terminal blocks.? Are there bigger ones somewhere?

Re: Camper Wiring Guage
Hi Gang:
I'm all for heavier gauge wire, and for a moving vehicle I like stranded wire. So if I were doing a rebuild I would replace all the 120 volt wire with stranded. For terminal blocks go to an

Re: Camper Wiring Guage
If you don't plan to bookdock, faster charging times really don't matter to much.? Heck even with solar you don't need extremely fast charging.?
??So staying with factory installed wires sizes or

Re: Camper Wiring Guage
At this time, I'm only concerned with the internal wiring for the lights, microwave, A/C, fridge etc.? so I can start putting the appliances back in.

The big benefit you get when you increase the wire size is faster charging times.? With my 45 amp converter and 2 golf cart batteries, when charging deeply discharged batteries, it started at 22 amps

We replaced those plastic trim strips with aluminum carpet transition moldings that are sold in 8-foot lengths at the big box stores. As others mentioned, once you pull off those flimsy plastic parts,

Re: 2007 Chalet Folding Alpine Leakage Issues
Those loose plastic trim strips around the perimeter of the windows are not part of the seal.? If that was the only issue you would just put a little caulk underneath them and restick them down.?

Re: 2007 Chalet Folding Alpine Leakage Issues
The DIY fixes for the bubbles are tricky and not guaranteed to work.? The problem is caused by a bad batch of glue used by the factory.? That means you have deteriorated glue in there that may make
