Re: Looking for a place to get some service done our on Ranger 10 in Tucson. Any recommendations?
Just curious, was your new trailer purchased from the dealer in Mesa by any chance? We just purchased a brand new 2019 Aliner Ranger 12 from a dealer in TX and we are hoping to take our trailer to Mesa for warranty work. We also live in Tucson (Marana).

Re: Need recommendation for cover for 1
开云体育I only have one bubble window, which I cover with a piece of polar fleece (soft).? Then on top of that and the entire RV, I place a standard tarp which just covers the entire top with about 6 to 12-inch overhang to shed water.? Then I place a contoured RV pop-up cover, which I ordered a few feet longer so that it covers the entire RV including the spare tire on the rear and the propane tanks and battery on the tongue.? Works just fine.? The cover was billed as ‘waterproof’ – Not!? I’ve found that having the tarp just covering the top provides rain coverage (and potential leak points) and the fitted cover protects the overall RV from dirt and most of the rain.? I also have tire covers on the tires. Seems to allow enough air underneath and the tarp keeps the polar fleece cover on the bubble nice and dry.? Even with high winds, everything stays in place. Works for me! – Barb Foley ? From: Don DeRyke via Groups.Io

Re: 3-way refrigerator in 2018 Aliner Expedition
开云体育Hi Gang: I put 2mm wire from the battery to the trailer socket on both my TVs. The usual 16ga wire just has too much voltage drop at the current level. I also put a AC/off/DC switch above the fridge where it is easy to turn the DC off at extended stops. Here is a photo of the switch with pilot lights for AC and DC: /g/A-frameCamperForum/photo/123993/0?p=Taken,,,20,1,0,0 Carl.

Re: Aliner Ranger 10
... And the reason a properly functioning water heater sometimes doesn't show the red light when turned on is that the light only indicates when the heater is actually heating. Especially when the ambient air is hot, the water in the heater may well already be sufficiently hot so no further heating is necessary.
Dave? ......? Now it does not seem to ever come on.? Nothing in the owners manual about the light |

Re: diesel heater
We used a Little Buddy heater just this past weekend where the temps had dropped to about 27-28 degrees n both me n my partner experienced sensitivity to it on the eyes. Just her one nite and then the other night i felt it a mild stinging and eyes watering type thing and we had one of the windows cracked open about 2" wide n then the top to bottom length of the window. We had it set on the low 4000btu setting on which we found that a full 1lb take lasts roughly 5hrs. Bottom line is somebody mentioned here that they were nice n toasty in below freezing temps. This was not our experience at all. We were uncomfortably cold. Plus it doesn't cycle on n off like the onboard Aliner heater does. I think because the Mr Buddy is not temp controlled n does not cycle on n off and that it doesn't vent to the outside is what makes its use a potentially hazardous heating source. Maybe too some individuals are more sensitive to the burned by product that the Buddy heater expels to the inside.

Aliner Ranger 10
Ken
Greetings.
My wife and I enjoy our Ranger 10, 2017 model although we have had quite a few problems with it. 2 quick questions for today 1. Does anyone know where to get an Aliner serviced in Tucson? It seems there are preferred dealers in Phoenix but i don't want to drive up there. 2. Does anyone know what the light marked "Aux" on the control panel is for?? It sometimes comes on when we turn on the water heater, but does not stay on long.? Now it does not seem to ever come on.? Nothing in the owners manual about the light.?? Thanks for any help you might be able to provide. Ken |

Re: Non Electric Camper Heaters

开云体育That’s what I used in my motor home with great success. The biggest thing going for Buddy ?is they’re cheap and portable but a good brick heater with a quick disconnect works well and easy to leave at home most of the time when not needed. While extolling the virtues of the drafty Aliner and brick heaters I forgot to mention I was doing this in the harsh AZ winter in a motor home which involves a whole lot less extra heat than some other places. ?MOn Nov 7, 2019, at 12:47 PM, dan smartt via Groups.Io <dansm@...> wrote:

Re: Non Electric Camper Heaters
开云体育Hi Gang: Since a 1500 watt heater will keep our camper warm, a 5000 BTU heater would work. I'm not sure how wood stoves are rated, but I did heat with wood for ten years. Five in a school bus and then five in a three bedroom ranch house. Electric heat pumps are much easier, and work better at AC than the wood stove. Carl. On 11/6/2019 10:49 PM, Steve T wrote:

They make gravity feed vented propane heaters that use no electricity, and don't exhaust gases indoors.? A friend of mine has one in his trailer.? The problem though is they mount on a wall and need a chimney.? Not too practical for an aframe. Here's an example: |
