Re: Scout lite refrigerator install
We find our Dorm fridge to cool very well. If we put anything under the "freezer" area, it may freeze. There are dorm-size refrigerators and "coolers." The "coolers" cool only to 10 degrees below the

Re: Storing in open position?
Yup. Now I live in Georgia. North Dakota you might need to find a different location. A lot of folks find places for the winter inside fairgrounds, or enclose it in a fancy garage. I have not had any

Re: Ground wire lengthening question
Hi Debbie: You're right on. Just replace the existing wire with a longer one of the same gauge. Be sure it's fastened securely at both ends, and that the connection to the frame is not corroded. Dave

Thank you. I'm going to discuss my ideas with Southland RV (Norcross GA) on the 8th & take Sportliner in the 12th for work. Gives me time to decide! Thanks! Carol 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4 Off-Road

Re: Wind Cheeta
Enjoying the thread. I have the Aliner wind kit. It is a wire that goes from one half of the roof and attaches to the other half near the bottom. Seems simple and effective. I do use painter poles on

Right, I'll consider that. It would make things easier. Thanks

Re: Wind Cheeta
Hi carol ... I thoroughly understand you wanting to personalize your Aliner. I have had Alineritis since 2008. That is the constant desire to fix, change and modify. Now with several years behind me,

Re: Wind Cheeta
I have a 2014 Classic and I think I must have set it up when it was not level. The main sides went up fine, but it was hard to get the sides in. Then when I took it down, the weather stripping came

Re: Ground wire lengthening question
That's a good thought. I always get a little nervous when removing the positive terminal wing nut, a little too close for comfort.

Re: Scout lite refrigerator install
Thanks for the mention of the dry bags to hold the ice. We've used Ziploc freezer bags, but they often leak. We have several dry bags sitting in our kayaks, but never thought to use them. Kevin

Re: Ground wire lengthening question
Since your doing all that work, ya might want to put a battery shut off on and only turn it on when you need the battery for 12v system

Re: Scout lite refrigerator install
I did and am just about ready to take it out. It doesn¡¯t seem to get all that cold in really hot weather and it takes up a lot of valuable space. I could store my thetford there and still have room

Re: Ground wire lengthening question
Debbie, what you are wanting to do is fine. Try to solder all the connections rather than just crimping. That negative wire will need to pass lots of current so you want low loss/resistance

Ground wire lengthening question
Hi, I'm upgrading my Ranger 10 trailer battery from a group 24 to 27 12 volt. I've got the bigger battery box bolted in (thanks to everyone for help with this). My battery wiring is pretty typical for

I have small leaks around the sky lights (including the fantastic fan) and one of the bubble windows (Expedition 2010). It looks like caulking is probably the problem. What caulk do you recommend to

We have a dorm refrigerator in our 2009 Scout. Been there almost as long as we've had the trailer. It's in the cabinet, held, wedged, in place by boards. One on the floor that runs the width of the

Re: Storing in open position?
Hello: The springs would see more stress in the down position. So up is easier on them. Carl.

Re: Storing in open position?
I would think keeping it open would relieve the pressure on the springs. I have stored mine open since about April.
By anthonybeltran53 · #89678 ·
Re: Storing in open position?
I would think not since the pressure is off them when open.
