Ok, on our first big trip we found the need to prioritize storage and to get things out of the way.? So, I was looking at my BAL leveler and trying to figure out an easy way to mount it on the tongue¡most methods seem somewhat cumbersome or complicated.
?
I put the BAL on the frame around the propane tank, not touching, and was looking at it¡.then I lifted the narrower middle piece.? It dawned on me that two 2¡± ubolts would slip right in, go down around the frame, ?and hold it firm.? See the photo album ¡°Richard BAL MOUNT¡±.? With the two pieces that are ratcheted to raise it, and the wrench, ?stored in the hold, it is solid, easy to get to, and out of the way.? Wing nuts would make it easy to undo.? The ubolts have a metal piece across the ends that holds it in place when the wing nuts are tightened.
?
The angled wings on the BAL hold it in place, one on the outside of the frame and the one closest to the trailer on the inside of the frame.
?
A bungee cord around the end will prevent the inner ¡°U¡± from flopping and the BAL screw bolt holes can hold a chain to prevent casual theft.
?
Does anyone see a problem carrying it this way??? Seems so simple that I have this feeling that I am missing something¡.and it is usually something important!!!
