A/C install question¡ continued¡?
im thinking now about making the a/c unit removable, thusly needing to make a ¡°plug & cover¡± for the open wall hole, when the a/c isn¡¯t there. I¡¯ve seen a couple of videos on it and I¡¯m 90% sure that I can pull this off. But a question¡ after I cut the 18¡± x 12¡± wall section out, does that now removed wall piece ¡°separate, come apart¡±? I was thinking of taping it with silver tape that is used on heating equipment, around the exposed edges. This might keep the section together and I¡¯d use it as the ¡°plug¡± for the open hole.
(I¡¯ve purchased aluminum 3/16 tread plate for the ¡°cover¡±.
Any experience with the piece that comes out after sawing the hole, please?
