Re: Chasing electrical issues in used 2022 Aliner Ranger 10
That Panana folding panel is made from PET, not ETFE.? PET is not as good as ETFE. The first lightweight plastic panels were made from PET, and the plastic could crack, and didn't dissipate heat as well which degraded the solar cells, causing power loss..? Comments in the reviews also note a loss of power over time for the Panana panels too.
?
The Panana panel also has no warranty, and the Panana store on Amazon has a bunch of furniture for salle. That doesn't give me confidence in their solar panels.
?
The Werchtay panel is not so good either.? The Amazon star rating only has 49% for 5 stars.? Renogy panels are 81% for 5 star.? There are also complaints that the 200 watt Werchtay panels are hard pressed to get even 100 watt
?
There might be some better vendors out there with low prices, but you've? got to read the reviews.? The 3 vendors I've recommended in the past have been Rich Solar, Renogy, and HQST.? They are by no means flawless, but they have generally decent ratings and warranties. HQST is a bit cheaper than the other two, and are a bit lower in quality and warranties too.
?
Lashru that little fridge you have is going to cost a lot to provide proper power for it.? You might want to replace that and just use ice in a cooler, at least until you can get more power.? That little fridge is also not that efficient.? It must have thin insulation.? Other fridges around that size use one half the power that thing does.? But I'd bet they're bigger in outside dimensions to give them better insulation, and won't fit in the space you have.
