So it
looks like it will take 25% more amps at 11 volts to produce
the 13.8 volts for charging. I think heavier wire to reduce
the resistance would be cheaper, you may need the heavier wire
just to run the booster. Plus it would be better to boost the
voltage near the motor so you are starting higher before the
voltage drop.

14.4V for entire drive, enough to get to the camper battery.??
The 2019 vehicles don't maintain like that, the Pacifica &
Equinox settling to around 13V after driving for an hour or so.?
At this voltage the camper battery goes dead on all day drive,
& running the frig.
So, mounting the $43 boost converter in the camper, I am thinking,
should boost the lower (11 to 12) voltage to 13.8V to maintain the
battery, maybe give it slight charge, also running the frig.
The unit takes 8 to 40V input and gives 25A at 13.8V output.?
Doubt I will ever get to 25A.
I considered the Renogy charger, but thinking it may overheat the
tow connector when it goes to Boost. And the Renogy is running
around $100.
Any concerns of using the buck/boost?
