Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Pool had long since gone to bed, and after the bout of listening at the door had proven useless, so had Mary. ?As he had dressed for bed, Pool had murmured to himself, didn't even get the chance to find out when they wanted their breakfast, nor what they wanted for breakfast, what with that winch taking over things and running me out of the room. ?Good night, Mary, he had called softly through the wall, in an attempt to make certain that Mary was indeed in her room, in bed where she should be, as well as the courtesy of telling her good night. ?Oh, curses, Mary murmured to herself before answering him, it's truly a good thing that I am indeed here, instead of where I was before, listening at the door; urr...good night, Pool, she had called back sweetly to him, before retiring. ?Of course the couple would likely not hear this, but there would also likely be some way of awakening the servants if the master and mistress of the house decided they wanted something to eat that night.?

God loves you.

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Rena chuckled.
?
"I knew you would be hungry again," she said, once more a wash with relief that he was still the same...Pre or post potion, he maybe more restrained now but he was the same person under it all, especially with her. She kissed him again playfully pushing him back on the bed so that she could take her place on top this time.
?
"As it turns out, though, I am starved...for you, though, and I don't think Pool can help me with that."
?
With a wink, she proceeded to satisfy both of their appetites again, once more glad he'd lit the room so that her gaze could hungrily devour the beautifully toned muscles of this original form. So very nice it was.
?
?
When their latest bout of pleasure was completed and she lay in his arms again she smiled with her cheek against his chest.
?
"Now, if you truly want food, Pool's services could be fitting. As for drink, there is still tea left in the pot."
?
She nearly lamented the ease of the modern conveniences of which she was more accustom, and how the 2 of them were, as a result, independent without the aid of servants, but she did not. None of that would be useful or productive, and they had bigger problems. The thought of that caused her to cling more tightly to him.
?
"Henry...I...I am uneasy in this place, so new for me and far from home. You are...well you are what I came for but also all I have here...So please...don't go anywhere. Don't leave me alone. Not even to go into your office. If you happen to wake first in the morning, please wake me as well...I want to remain at your side."
?
Once more she was proud of herself for not speaking too strangely, for saying things in too much of a modern way, though perhaps just being from America could get her away with much. They likely had no idea how Americans spoke, after all. Thinking of America brought her mind back to how he had wanted to write her Grandmother and she missed Fredericka with a sudden pang that caused her to cling to him even tighter. Her grandmothher would be able to help somehow, at least to soothe the situation, she knew. But as she had attempted to explain to Henry earlier, she was just too far away.

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

As it turned out, Rena was correct. He did not feel as exhausted as he may have feared. Satisfied, without being exhausted. "So, are you hungry, my dear," Henry casually wondered. "I could tell Poole to?bring some snacks, or...coffee, although, I?suppose?it could be too late for that," Henry admitted,?opening his mouth in a yawn. ?

Re: Life in London

"Sadly people rarely think, especially when afraid,"Ben said of the fools who hung or burned?innocent people during the Salem witch trials and others before in Europe.
?
When Rebecca said that her father had been trying to kill them for the past nine centuries Ben's eyes flew wide.
?
"Just when I thought I was finished being surprised," he said with a quick grin before his expression became serious once more as he shook his head.
?
""But why? Why would he want to kill his own children, and how is he alive for so many centuries himself?"
?
"Most excellent questions, all," Kol said dryly.
?
This was the first statement he'd added to the conversation in some time, having fallen into a mild sulk over the issue of their complete lack of freedom due to Klaus riding their backs with a dagger ever hovering.

Re: The Birth Of Katherine Pierce

"Why," Mina sobbed, suddenly heart broken, the feeling stronger than anything she had ever felt in her life.
?
Far stronger than the sorrow she discovered as the wedding to John had drawn closer. Far more than when her parents had died as a child even. Giving a wordless sob she curled in on herself, turning onto her side in the...coffin? Distantly she knew that bit should bother her a bit more, raise some sort of alarm, or at least disconcert a bit but at present the soul tearing misery was all her mind could handle.
?
"Why did he do that! Why!"
?
The last word came out nearly as a scream.
?
"The way he looked at me as he left...It was...Why!"
?
A single sob tore its way from her throat, and then the physical pain set in and she screamed again, nails tearing at her own arms in some sort of reaction she didn't quite understand. What was happening to her?

Locked Re: No Place Like London (Oliver/Nadia)

Oliver's flat gaze narrowed in mild interest when Nadia spoke of this place not being the most safe for their kind.
?
"I have lived on the outskirts of London for centuries and I am fine as you can see," he said dryly with only the slightest twist to his lips.
?
"Granted I am quite the recluse most times, so perhaps that is why..."
He leaned forward slightly, gaze becoming suddenly intently curious.
?
"Tell me, though. If it is so dangerous, what are you doing here?"
?
The question was lightly put, not demanding but?generally perplexed.
?
As both gazed at the bar maid behaving oddly, Oliver's gaze became more focused.
?
"I don't know, but perhaps I should find out."
?
He rose and moved across the room at a regular human pace rather than the quicker than the eye could follow stride of a vampire. Knowing that Nadia's vampire hearing would allow her to pick up on the conversation he turned to the bar maid who had cringed back at his presence. Catching her gaze again he asked,"Why the odd behavior?"
?
?
The young woman's eyes showed fear and she rubbed at her wrist again.
?
"Because I don't remember," she said, and he nodded.
?
"Good. And nor will you remember this."
?
Looking away he asked for more wine, though he'd not touched his former glass, instead holding it all night and pretending to sip at it from time to time.
?
She nodded and hurried away as he returned to the table.
?
"Well...She remembers nothing, and as I unfortunately left a mark on her wrist she remembers that something did happen. She likely recalls me calling her over."
?
He looked thoughtful, pausing for a second before continuing.
?
"As we were curious as to the dress issue and the odd couple I think I'll let it lie as it were. Perhaps they will return on the morrow. Perhaps we should ass well. If they don't or if nothing happens, well then."
?
He shrugged.
?
"That is just that. On the other hand, perhaps they are part of the danger you speak of in the city so a brief investigation couldn't hurt."
?
And now the conversation had turned readily back to that point, as to why the city was a danger.

Locked Late Night Lab Work (Victor/Elizabeth)

The rolling thunder of an approaching storm had awakened Victor. He had indulged in considerably more alcohol than that to which he was accustomed that particular evening, so he was surprised at having awakened so soon. This is useless, he said into the empty air after having tossed and turned in a vein effort to once more reclaim sleep. The sound of thunder always reminded him of the night he had created Frank, it was an unpleasant memory for him, but it also held promise, his belief was that lightning itself held the very promise of life, as well as the prominent threat of death, depending on when and how it was used. He arose from his bed, somewhat annoyed, but feeling that this particular night held some sort of promise, as if this was a night for¡ Something, as if something were in the air, as if the very air vibrated with electricity; it must be that dratted youth potion of mine, I thought it would help me avoid a hangover the next morning, but it's working too good for my own good, he grumbled to himself, not paying any attention to his rather Poor use of grammar at the moment. It was a rejuvenating potion, but in times like this, he often shortened it to simply¡ Youth¡ Potion. Having dressed and having made himself A rather strong cup of coffee, he dawned his coat, and casually picked up one of the bottles of rejuvenating potion for another sip before heading out into the night toward his lab. His intention had been to take a few sips, then replace the bottle on the table before heading out, but his own label caught his eye¡ Rejuvenating potion, he mused allowed. He spoke now as if a colleague were present, why I don't think I have tried¡ What if I¡ He tightened the lid, placed the bottle in his pocket, and headed out into the crisp, stormy night. The wind whipped at his coat, seeming to challenge and dare him to proceed forward with this new idea; he hardly noticed as he took brisk steps, ever closer, closer to his lab, closer to the treasure that was there. Once inside, he quickly assembled the needed apparatus, and tried the previous experiment, determined to try it twice more without¡ The potion, before adding it. Both times he received the same result, spastic, unorganized movements of the limbs, but no real life, no words, seemingly nothing. Time for a change, he murmured, as he carefully added a single drop of rejuvenating potion, and tried again. The movements were more organized this time, but the eyes still remained closed; two drops, he stated as he added another drop, and tried again. This time, it looked as if she were trying to sit up, the arms and legs moved more, and the movements were more in sequence; the eyelids flutter, and Victor's expression turned very hopeful. So close, yet, closeness is an infinite distance until perfection is achieved, he murmured. The lab was so quiet, that a casual observer could have heard the clink clinking as he took more potion from the bottle into the dropper, three, four, five¡ Six, seven, drop by careful drop, he added the potion to the conglomeration of parts. No one would likely hear anything that went on in the lab that night, unless they happened to be in close proximity at that hour. Now, the lightning!¡ once more he brought the lightning, as he called in desperation¡ Elizabeth! My Elizabeth! Live! You, must¡ Live! Come, my beloved, emerge into the world of the living! Live!!! With the other trials, he had made notes in his journal of the various results, but now, he stepped back, his expression filled with hope, to observe, both with the clinical interest of a scientist, and the hope and anticipation of one who just knew¡ That this¡ Was the night, for life. Hopeful anticipation gave way to present joy as her eyes actually opened, and Victor stepped forward; taking her hand, he softly spoke her name, Elizabeth?¡ Are you¡ Is it really you? Are you¡ With me???

God loves you.

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

"I'm sure it will be fine,"Rena told Henry confidently of his stamina, then proceeded to prove it, more relieved than she could understand or describe to finally get all of his bloody clothes off with a bit of help and hers as well. She needed full ND complete contact with him now...and now it was becoming a fire that she was more than willing to allow to consume her.
?
?
Things were always natural with them, but now with her need what it was she shamelessly ravished him, thoroughly enjoying the to her new body in all its glory. She would show him exactly what she could do, how much she could give him, how much he could enjoy life in her arms, and in her presence. She knew even through her own passionate needs that this was her lover at a time in his life when he was very unhappy and desperate enough to make a potion that most if not all scientists would claim to be impossible merely to live a little as it were. To ease the constant pressures that were Victorian society.
?
She was glad that he hadn't pressed her for more information or questioned her words. The trust was flattering indeed even if she felt she deserved it. She silently vowed to do anything necessary to keep him safe from whatever this was...Not that Jekyll needed protecting but just now he knew less of the dangers they faced than she did even...though deep down or even not so deep down she doubted her own ability to protect herself, still she would protect him no matter what.
?
?
Some time later she lay with him on the now entirely rumpled bed, eyes closed in contentment with her small arms twined about his neck and her cheek against his chest. Nearly the way they lay together at home...Only the body was a different size and shape so felt different. It was an unexpected thrill indeed to be with him, yet for him to be different, yet still very much him.

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Henry Hyde frowned at Rena's words. They did not make sense directly in the least, but began sounding somehow sinister the more he considered them. Attempting to find a different connection, he began wondering if that would simply be Rena's way of endorsing his theories, the way a dedicated wife was supposed to do for her husband. It didn't seem quite like her, but he supposed, just then, he was so very impassioned himself he might as well be a different person himself. He never heard of women developing such strong passions, and being swept by them, but if he were that lucky,, he was going to embrace the possibility without questioning it.
?
"As you say," he simply agreed, happy to put the entire question?behind him. ?
?
"Unstoppable,?you say," Henry breathlessly murmured. "I accept the challenge, my stamina might not be the equal of a younger man of course, but we shall see..." the good doctor happily brought the conversation?back to intimacy and all of its sweet promises. ??

Locked Re: No Place Like London (Oliver/Nadia)

Nadia found herself in quiet contemplation as she considered sharing the information gathered by the gypsies. He obviously was wise enough not to make a move on a member of her family as only the most arrogant or foolish would dare risk her father's wrath. Of course, she could easily enough be giving the man too much credit. ¡°If one were to believe the rumors¡this city is just about the last place on earth our kind would wish to draw attention.¡±
?
She knew of at least two vampire hunters, neither being someone she cared to make the acquaintance of, assuming that a member of her family hadn't already dealt with one or both of them. Taking a moment to watch the barmaid trying to determine whether it was simply a matter of ¡®wrong place, wrong time¡¯ or if there could be more to it.?
?
¡°I have often considered going off on my own.¡± She responded with the slightest hint of a wistful smile. Perhaps she would see if her brother would care to accompany her though odds were his decision would be stepping up in their father's ¡®absence¡¯. ¡°Though my father tends to prefer keeping everyone close on the off chance one of his enemies might be foolish enough to come at him through us.¡±
?
She nodded once at his admission while curious she didn't ask him to elaborate as he hadn't struck her as the overly sharing sort. ¡°I could imagine there being circumstances that would inevitably make returning to a place too painful or overwhelming.¡± Knowing of a few that would make her feel that way as well.
?
Her gaze followed his back to the barmaid whose behavior hinted at a possibility she might remember the previous conversation. It was odd to consider though perhaps not the first time someone had either resisted or broken free of compulsion¡IF that is what was happening here.?
?
¡°You don't think that she¡¡±?

Re: Life in London

Rebekah disliked being the one to point out certain risks but knew the loss of a brother would prove far more unpleasant. One eyebrow lifted at his question. ¡°Spoil sport? For wanting to protect my brother?¡± At times she felt like leaving him to it and seeing who was left standing afterward but the loss of another brother wasn't something she wished to face again.
?
She had briefly forgotten about their guest though was reminded when he asked about Mikael. Her eyes moved from one man to the other silently considering just how much he should be told. A simple question echoed in her mind ¡®Why hold back now?¡¯ Perhaps if he knew the whole truth then compulsion wouldn't be necessary as he would understand the need for secrecy.?
?
Casting a quick glance in her brother's direction she finally answered. ¡°He¡¯s our father and he¡¯s hunted us for the last nine centuries.¡± Looking back she was always tempted to ask why Elijah stopped her from ending their father's life all those years ago. ¡°He will stop at nothing to kill us.¡±
?
¡°It is my understanding that most casualties of the Salem witch trials were not witches though there were a few who found themselves at the wrong end of hangman¡¯s noose. Most witches fled.¡± She couldn't argue with that most of those who were so quick to condemn people at random for practicing witchcraft were a bunch of bloody idiots.?
?
¡°If they had been smarter they would have realized anyone with even an ounce of real power could have easily escaped execution and the ones who didn't accepted their fates to protect their loved ones.¡±

Re: The Birth Of Katherine Pierce

Katherine was curious which side the young woman would choose considering there hadn't been time enough to prepare her for what was to come. She could only pace anxiously as she waited to learn whether her friend figured out that her only chance of returning was to choose neither as heaven and hell fought to claim her soul. The vampire queen shuddered as she recalled being forced to face her own worst nightmare during those hours.?
?
It was the same for all who were of Lilith and Cain¡¯s bloodline, a thing which made her a bit envious of those belonging to another as from all she had heard the experience of being turned was far different. She welcomed the distraction these thoughts afforded her as otherwise the pain felt over the fact Vlad hadn't cared enough to come looking for her might well have led to tears.?
?
She had given careful instructions to her descendants about what needed to be done as a newly turned vampire often struggled with the bloodlust. Opening the door the seemingly young woman gracefully descended the stairs into the basement with a single lit candle in hand despite it being completely unnecessary.?
?
At seeing hands flying up from inside the open coffin she breathed a sigh of relief as one set of concerns were laid to rest but in the next breath she found herself faced with another as there was no way of predicting how Mina might react to her life. ¡°Mina?¡± She softly called out as she approached.?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
(ooc: from the way my friend plays it heaven and hell fight over the soul of the one being turned after their death and if you choose one you stay dead but if you chose neither you wake a vampire and for them coffins are necessary though think they only need to spend like four hours in it beyond that is their choice. Sun not a problem. Can have kids. Crosses not good. Think after learning how to cast a particular enchantment they can cast a reflection and otherwise pass as human giving the appearance of detectable heartbeat and warmth of skin. I figure Katherine got the Petrova family to get the coffin for Mina and it was left open to reduce panic.)

Locked Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)

"Of course I'll never breathe a word, Doctor," Klaus agreed smoothly.
?
"If we're working together, that's no way to treat a...colleague if the word can serve in such a situation."
?
He gave a light chuckle.
?
"This Rayna, she's no vampire, and we'd certainly not be working with her. She...well she is something else entirely...and trust me, Doctor, if she fits your bill of a monster who needs to be killed, I for one am certainly glad to help. She is a bit too powerful for my liking a and a hunter besides."

Klaus frowned in open distaste, though he still remained calm, gaze still studying the tomes and instruments of science with some interest.

¡°I would like to assume, and will be going on . . . good faith, so to speak, that the revelations beheld down here won¡¯t be spread about, outside these walls.? Not with too much detail, at least,¡± Helsing glanced back at the male vampire with a fearless look, candlestick still in front of his face though there was now more light to help with his own eyes.? ¡°Hopefully the honor you speak of shall translate into some sort of . . . confidentiality.¡±? He gave a gesture of acceptance, even opportunity, when the other seemed to look upon a few rolled up parchments.? ¡°Take a peak for yourself, if you wish.? You may be surprised.¡±? The good doctor turned, moving to light the a thicker candle behind glass nearby.
?
?
¡°Ray . . . Rayna Cruz, is it?? Hmmm,¡± he blew the lit stick out and set it down, fingers idly tapping on a large tomb he randomly noticed . . . one he knew to contain personal notes on chemistry-related developments.? Trials.? Successes.? And of course unknown dilemmas and failures.? ¡°I¡¯m afraid that name doesn¡¯t ring with the familiarity I¡¯d prefer,¡± he still smiled pleasantly, calmly allowing his human limitation when it came to vast supernatural knowledge that at least one if not more of his unforeseen guests possessed.? ¡°Though I must admit to . . . being more alarmed than intrigued by what you tell me.? Dear Lord, but . . . a truly immortal daughter of the night.¡±? Helsing eyed her, then the other young woman.
?
?
¡°Neither of you have . . . been marked, or are being chased?? I simply need to know if this meeting was . . . if it¡¯s . . .,¡± he trailed off, suspicion rising, thoughts quickly forming as to the very worst possibilities.? They could have arranged this, come here with Klaus as some sort of pre-planned trade-off!? Leading this Rayna Cruz right to his front door . . . Heavens no!? He firmly pushed any thoughts away . . . his hesitation was combining with unneeded wild fancies, and . . . well, but it would still put him at ease to hear the hopeful reply from the other.? The one with her hands full offered her own simply if profound and sympathy-producing reply from him. ?
?
?
?
¡°Anxious,¡± Helsing repeated the word, nodding.? ¡°What a constant burden to carry around . . . sadly I cannot relieve that of you with just simple words of reassurance.¡±? The good doctor swallowed, taking a couple steps forward, glancing at some other materials.? ¡°Though it¡¯s ironic, you mentioning anxious.? Know that you are not alone in that.¡±? He did so dislike admitting weakness or uncertainty, but he¡¯d not lie or weave an illusion with his guests, and was still hoping they would reciprocate.? ¡°Not for the first time do I regret not having studied in order to be a somewhat competent medium.? Too much to do as it is and all.¡±? He brought his hands up in partial surrender, before unrolling a parchment to look at its contents.? ¡°I have no access to such magics, but I¡¯ve been doing well by working in elements and alloys to doctor up the potency of primitive weapons, among other things.¡±?

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Pool had said a proper good night to Mary, after they had apologized for their altercation, and had gone to bed, just as he had said. ?But Mary¡ Had not been so diligent in keeping her promise, after saying good night to the Butler, and making certain that he had indeed, gone to bed, and that all counters, tables, and other odds and ends were cleaned, she had carefully tiptoed across the carpet, to the door of the master bedroom. Once there, she had stood close to the door, with her ear as close as she could get it, but still far enough away that she could make a quick exit if it sounded as if the door would be opened. ?At least, she hoped, that she could make a quick exit, better still, she hoped that she would not be discovered listening there at the door; she knew that it was wrong, that Pool would never approve, or understand, so she decided that it was better that he be completely left out of her private mission. But she had to know what was going on, not just so they would know what to do, but she had¡ To protect Henry, she could not let him be hurt, not by anyone. ?Pool was such a proper man, but Mary thought him to be¡ Rather ancient in his thinking, he was devoted enough to the doctor, a wonderful Butler, a very proper servant indeed, but he never seemed to want to think outside the box, at least in her opinion. ?He is always so cautious, she thought to herself as she stood there, listening at the door. The problem with that is¡ One never learns anything valuable that way. ?The doctor was speaking now, oh¡ How Mary loved to hear his pleasant, well educated voice, showing that properly informed, equally well educated mind. ?It did not matter to her that he was 50, while she¡ Was, almost 19 years of age, what is age but a mirror number, she asked herself as she listened on and on to him talking about¡ Wedding plans? she said to herself, They are ?not even discussing wedding plans, it's as if he is speaking with a colleague or somesuch.?it's all about¡ Alchemy. ?Poor Pool, he's going to feel so left out, and be so upset defined that the lady lied to him, but¡ Such is my duty to inform him, I suppose, she thought to herself, gradually becoming bored as she listened. ?A few more moments of listening at the door yielded little more than talk that was way above her head, who cares about the bloody ?alchemy she thought to herself. ?I do¡ Care about his voice, though, she reminded her self; how I love, to hear him talk. ?It was then that she caught some of the pauses within the conversation, and was able to hear just enough to discern that they were¡ Kissing! They are, bloody, kissing, she told herself, I could bear to hear no more, perhaps old pool is right. Perhaps it is getting late and time for bed after all. ?No matter, she murmured to herself as she turned and ran on tiptoe away from the door toward her room; there are always other ways to get what one truly wants, and loves; where there is a will, there is always away. ?I will¡ Get him, one way or another, I, will, get the doctor. She told this to herself as she ran, the problem was that right now, she was fresh out of ideas, and was sad at being thwarted. So,the only thing ?for her to do nowwas to ? ?run away to her room, silently sobbing, as she did exactly that.??

God loves you.

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Rena smiled softly when Henry spoke of what hiss potion would do in the long term.
"As I told you, I am aware of your potion and what it will do, Henry. It will work far better than you expected. At first perhaps even you will feel it has gone beyond your control but I don't believe this is so. I believe it did...does exactly what you wish for it to do and more," Rena told him carefully.
?
"As for mixing the potion my grandfather was exposed to or any parts of it with yours, I would not. I would not tamper with what is as it is perfect as?you made it,?and we can't know what other things would do."
?
Hands still sliding leisurely over the ripples of muscles on his chest, Rena listed calmly each ingredient of his potion.
?
"If you mixed anything we can't know what it would do and I would never risk it. You gain all you wish for and more with your own discoveries...However if you wish to work on something else using alchemy and even using the potion my grandfather was exposed to I know my mother...either of my parents actually would truly relish working with you specifically. Any good and open scientist who is worthy could gain their attention but you especially they respect ND find interesting," she said honestly.
?
?
"So yes, as you say, I have no need to play with your feelings to obtain a formula I already know."
?
She shrugged.
?
"Nor would I be interested in using it or giving it to anyone else. I feel it is meant for you alone."
?
Frowning, then laughing she made a fist and punched him lightly in the arm when he said he could not promise to be completely honest with her but that his lies would be pleasurable.
?
"I think I'll take the honesty...Especially," she said, murmuring against his lips as she drew his face down to her for?another kiss, "if you say that all you want right now is to be completely rid of?both of our clothes and to see all the interesting ways we can...indulge one another."
?
?
?
That being said, she proceeded to laughingly tug at his remaining clothing during their impassioned kisses and exchanges.
?
"Yes you are far more valuable than diamonds indeed...You should be so to the entire world for all you can accomplish and discover, but certainly to me. Diamonds are boring...and you are anything but," she declared.
?
A compliment indeed but as always quite true.
?
When he said science was best spoken of when there were no distractions she nodded her agreement before kissing him again and sliding her arms around his neck. His comment about her seeming unstoppable made her smile again but a little more sadly?this time.
?
"Usually so but tomorrow I fear you will understand my issue...Together, however I still believe we are unstoppable. Only tonight this trait is best directed toward?pursuits of pure pleasure."
?
She knew she was nearly as aggressive as a man but thanks to him she knew exactly what she wanted and intended to take it. Glancing at the bed, she gave a shiver of anticipation as she pressed her far smaller form to his. The bed was large, made of heavy solid oak...much like the man in her arms...And she most certainly the first woman ever taken to it as she knew Henry would never risk his reputation by indulging whores in his home. A first for them again in spite of everything, and Rena would not deny that was a thrill.

"Ah well, if alchemy was able to alter the brain structure itself, as some ancient speculated in their treatise on making gold...Well, in truth, as behooves an alchemist, it was all stated obliquely and I surmise that my interpretation is possible based on my general knowledge of the lore which may be defied by the specific notation used...I could not even swear that the writings can truly be ascribed to Aviccenos as the tradition claims, or to the poet Rumi who appears to make some unholy claims. Ah alchemists, one never knows where the?truth lies and how better the fantastical interpretation is compared to the realistic one.
?
I suppose?how your mind made would not have matter at large,?it would be merely an indication of the degree of the possible. You will learn at some point that my potion seeks to induce some long lasting changes of the deepest nature as well, even if such physiological changes are difficult to credit at the moment. If the alchemy you knew of an carried through your very own physical existence held similar possibilities, well, I could have incorporated it at some points into my own research. That was the main reason for my curiosity, but I suppose it is best to proceed with only few unknowables introduced into the scientific equation.
?
Well, that is a most laudable sentiment to be honest. Would I agree to swear to the same? I am not sure, I may be too much of a rascal to risk complete honesty all the time, but I do promise, my lies will prove just as pleasurable," Henry reassured with a small smile.
?
"And your promise is most reassuring. I enjoy being so highly valued. In truth, it matters little how you know about the potion. It would have mattered more had I been concerned about your motifs, the possibility of you playing with my feelings to obtain the requited formula or some such. Now that I am convinced of your good intentions, I can certainly postpone the serious kind of conversation until later time. Talking science is better without distractions after all," Hyde declared between several impassioned kisses.
?
"I cannot imagine you having such fears, truth be told. From the first moment I noticed you, you seemed unstoppable, and I was only hoping your drive would guide you toward me. The fact that it did, well if I am such a valued treasure in your eyes, I must be more priceless than diamonds themselves," Henry joked, only half heartedly paying attention to what he was saying now, as his better judgment was swept away by his increasing desire.?

Re: Life in London

"Alright, Alright," Kol grumped when Rebecca reacted so unfavorable to his idea of an entertaining few months.
?
Lifting his hands in placation he shook his head and rolled his eyes.
?
"When did you become such a spoil sport," he complained.
?
?
?
?
"Who is Mikael? Another brother," Ben asked, idly wondering why his mind had latched onto that rather than...the very existence of witches or werewolves.
?
"And to think I...everyone believes the Salem witch trial was carried off by a bunch of overly superstitious?idiots. Who'd think there were truly witches...that magic is real," he marveled, shaking his head, obviously not afraid but?most definitely?in shock.
?
?
?
?
"Oh that lot were still idiots," Kol said dryly before giving a bored yawn.
?
"Simply because witches are real doesn't mean everyone called such is a witch and the fact magic exists certainly doesn't get rid of frightened fools."
?
?
?
"What does for the most part mean," Ben asked when Rebecca said their bodies worked normally for the most part save for a diet of blood.

Locked Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)

"Of course this Rayna's methods would vary vastly from those of our Great Doctor here,"Klaus said of Van Helsing.
?
"So if he has not heard of her I would not be in the least surprised..."
?
Arching a brow he smiled.
?
"Then again if he has heard of her likewise I would not be in the least surprised as...well considering the fact he hunts those predators down that are stronger than all humans and is still standing before us, perhaps he is full of more surprises than he appears."
?
Though he spoke to the 2 ladies for the most part, Klaus gave Helsing a friendly smile tinged with dry amusement.
?
"It does sound like Rayna runs on some sort of extremely powerful magic while your methods are more...unconventionally scientific, wouldn't you say, Doctor?"
?
It would be a very bad idea for those 2 to get together and combine methods, Klaus thought darkly. A very bad bloody idea indeed. Perhaps the methods, like oil and water just simply wouldn't mix. One could only hope. God knew he had enough trouble as it was, he concluded darkly.

Re: The Birth Of Katherine Pierce

OOC, Okay I'll work in a skip ahead.
?
IC
?
?
She was upset...Hurt and upset and not even certain why. Why had he done this to her. Mina wasn't thinking about death, she was thinking about hurt feelings, betrayal of some sort and uncertain as to even why. It was insane...illogical to say the least. Tears streamed down her face and she gave Katherine's hand a week squeeze. Her new friend, the one who had just saved her life, was attempting to offer comfort and she didn't even care enough to take it. What.was.the.matter!
?
Perhaps she'd always known that something was wrong with her, Mina thought meanly. Meanly toward herself that was. John and Lucy would be well rid of her and perhaps she'd always known it. But right now she just couldn't seem to stop her silent tears.
?
*
?
She didn't remember falling asleep, or fainting, or whatever had happened, but she woke in a darkened room, So dark and silent, and her hands flew up.
?
OOC, Not sure if you're using the satoker grave thing or the diaries way as it's Katherine, assuming the later but letting you write where they are etc.?
