Re: Old Friends (Tatia/Rayna/Finn)
?
"Sounds cozy. Do enjoy yourself," Finn told her
fondly.
?
She was nearly like a little sister in some ways,
odd as that was.
?
"Well for my part I'm off on a bit of a job
interview,"Finn said with a nearly jaunty smile.
?
Pausing?he inclined his head to Rayna. "If it
is all I expect it to be, you may be?interested yourself."
?
If it was all he expected it to be, this cursed
life may just be worth living. He'd be doing something with it to truly make a
difference. To protect people and keep them safe from...well more? things
than they could imagine. From ghoulies and ghosties and long leggity beasties
and all things that went bump in the night, his kind included.

Re: The Witch is Back (Qetsiyah/Fedora/etc)
?
Fedora gave her ancestor an encouraging smile and
slight nod when the glass shattered. She did appreciate displays of power, and
so tasteful as well.
?
"I would have done worse if someone had tried to
take the man I love," she said softly, knowing the history and making an
educated guess due to the expression in the ancient's eyes.
?
"Were he to love another I would do worse to him as
well but he is a good and loyal man," she added, not wanting anything to harm
Dance. His beloved face swam before her eyes briefly momentarily replaced by
different blue eyes and longer black hair. Lighter blue and longer black and a
longer more delicate face...So confusing. But it was still her Dance. Wanting to
shake her head to clear it she restrained herself and instead put her mind
firmly on the rest of what was being said.
?
?
"Why resurrect you? Because you are powerful and
old and have knowledge that many could only dream of and few can appreciate.
Witches...modern witches are as nothing compared to you!"
?
Fedora meant every word and spoke fervently,
Russian accent usually light but thicker with her eagerness.
?
?
"We could combine forces and with the nine out of
the way we could command so much...Our organization and you!"
?
?
She ignored the rest of the witches as she spoke,
as now unless they decided they wished to be useful they were as nothing to
her.

Re: Life in London
?
"You'll get him killed,:Kol said, then shrugged
carelessly.
?
"Not that I care. I never do."
?
He didn't see what she expected to change when it
came to Klaus. Her boy toy would die...again, and she and Klaus would have an
understandable issue, and he would dagger her likely as not.
?
"Unless you kill him first of course," he added
with a chuckle, knowing that would never happen.
?
"Oh not you," he said to Ben's look of alarm. "I
meant our brother, no one's going to kill you. At least no one here," he added
as an after thought.
?
He was too honest for his own good but it delighted
him to be so and he had to find his family amusements where he could else it all
got too depressing, the ways of their dysfunctional family.
?
"You run and it lasts a while but then it ends when
he finds you and it's all the worse for the time you had," he told his
sister.
?
?
He was impressed that Ben had remained as calm and
still as he had. In a way he was almost beginning to see what his sister found
interesting in the bloke.
?
"What if your brother finds a person useful, Do
they have a chance then," he asked, gaze going back and forth between the two
siblings. His eyes were almost steady. Had they been completely so Kol would've
believed him mad or stupid.

Re: Family Drama (Mircea/Nadia)
?
Mercia stopped when his sister did. He turned to
her, opening his mouth to ask what she'd seen that caused her to pause, but then
saw the silent struggle and fear on her face. "Nadia." He moved to stand in
front of her.
"Hold on, Sister."
?
If the other regained control he would know. She'd
not be able to behave like his elder sister. She would slip and he would see it
as any good hunter spotted a weakness in prey. He would and when he did he would
simply vamp her into submission as long s his sister could hold on. Then she'd
still be in there and he could help her to regain full control by quashing the
other spirit. If she could hold on and not be pushed out and were she not calm
this would be more difficult. Granted he understood the threat of the
possibility of loss was enough to cause that literally deadly fear.
?
"Be calm and hold on," he said, hoping she would read the meaning in his words that the true owner of the body would not. I'm friends with the monster that's under my

Re: The Birth Of Katherine Pierce
?
Mina listened in shock, eyes fixed and round as
Katherine spoke. The entire story was equally shocking. Each word no more or
less shocking than the one before and after it.
?
?
She thought fleetingly of Lucy when Katherine
mentioned having a child out of wedlock. At times her friend was so wild she
worried. She hadn't fallen into bed with a man yet but...Then her mind had to
leave her worries and concerns for Lucy behind to continue following Katherine's
fast paced story lest she miss something. Then the final bit actually did become
the most surprising..."Someone is in your body? Who was I speaking to?The one
with the children and the husband issues it isn't you? What...Why...Why did she
take your body and what sort of help do you want from me?"
?
She wanted to ask who had saved her life of the two
but uncertain she'd get an honest answer were it not Katherine she closed her
mouth on the question.
?
"And the one who did that to me...He said your
name, so he's after you, not her?"
?
Okay perhaps selfish but she had been put in the
middle for whatever reason. Her hands were clenching her skirts as she struggled
to sort things while deciding how best to proceed. Her? questions came
rapidly for Katherine had expressed a concern for the amount of time they
had.
?
"How did she take over your body? Is
that...something commonly done...among the supernatural world?"
?
What words coming from here mouth? A wonder indeed
but a necessity as well for now she was in this...whatever it was and it was
sink, rather die, or swim...live.
?
The bit about walking in the day and not sleeping
in a coffin was intriguing, but the witch bit which would enable her to walk in
the day was another point of bafflement. As there were more important issues she
chose to leave that for now. Priorities had to be considered at this point,
after all and she could sort that later.

Re: An evening's work, London, Henry, Rena, Leti, open
?
"Do you want to plunder India and Africa," Leti
asked, a bit dazed.
?
No one ever talked to her like this before,
certainly not a Gentleman like Dr. Henry. But then again was he a gentleman? No
but? not in the way others weren't. And she didn't know how to explain it
no better than that. His sort she'd never seen before. She didn't mind it and he
made her feel safe someone. She liked the way he spoke as though she were a part
of things...of some inner circle. And Rena too. Including her even if it was
only because the man they were seeking had done...whatever it was that she just
couldn't remember!
?
Then again Rena had said she'd tell her about the
clothing thing so perhaps they would've eventually let her into their secretive
circle anyway. She was afraid of feeling important only to be cast back out into
drudgery and normality. Afraid of wanting to be a part of something only to be
rejected. Afraid of being stupid. But for now she'd enjoy it while she
could.
?
?
"Well I suppose their private desires ain't no
better for all that," she agreed when Henry spoke of what the men in office were
really like.
?
His talk of society restricting things was oddly
thrilling and made her think. She found herself nodding. "I can see that.
Yeah."
?
She decided to ignore his jabs of her being
cannibalism and lesbian, he was just being annoying and he knew that wasn't
true. "I can't cook hardly at all," she said, trying not to thrill with hope at
his offer of a job.
?
"But I would train hard if you is really needin' a
medical assistant or somethin' I would try hard and study whatever you gave me,
I promise..."
?
She blushed dropping her gaze. "But you was
probably only kiddin' and havin' me on. It's alright."
?
?
"You will have your greatness," Rena told Jekyll
squeezing his hand. "I promise it works out fine."
?
She wanted to ad that he was better than anyone and
needed no one...except her of course but they were in public and she had to be
careful what was said aloud especially in these times. She gave Leti a
sympathetic look but remained silent. She would offer her work as a lady's maid
if she had indeed misunderstood Henry but if not, the girl's brains were likely
better used toward the medical if she truly had an interest. She didn't think
Henry had an assistant already but again would wait for him to confirm as that
was his thing.

Re: An evening's work, London, Henry, Rena, Leti, open
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý"So, you think their honest wishes are more impressive than the ones they profess in public, Leticia?" Henry curiously wondered. "I doubt even that. They have a bit more avarice, and sexual perversions to make the wildest of monkeys blush, but that is about it. Their desires are generally just as petty as those of their constituents. Even if they are or need to pretend to be religious freaks. To have more attention from their wittle boring parents, and spouses, and mistresses, and whores. And especially their followers. To be the men of the manor in every respect. To surpass some Jones bloke in how they dress,?or the size of their?carriage.
?
There used to be statesmen in our quarters. Men who wanted to ravage India and plunder Africa, not out of some ridiculous greed but for the glory of our country and perhaps human kind at large. Large designs is what I am about. If I were in charge, I would want the greater desires?to be allowed. For? very few worthy men to?have their will done. To?be able to fight and overcome, to conquer. Desires like mine, for?humans as they used to be, they cannot be accomplished in society. Civilization cannot afford to express its true need. Perhaps it needs to restrain itself. To make sure its desires are so small that they cannot threaten the fabric of society. That is why I would never dream of reducing myself to being voted for. It would be equivalent to joining the?practiced deception game. Above all?I value the brutal honesty, of the kind even your savage nature can approve." Jekyll happily concluded. This?topic of Leticia's proclivities being still too novel to get old.
?
"No, they certainly don't. Their horizons are too limited by what they know, or worse yet, by what they can imagine. I want...greatness. I know I can have it, somehow. I can force it back, from the oblivion of the past into which it sank. And only a few mortals can accompany the likes of?me onto such a journey. Not even because of how perilous it is, which is undeniably true, but because of the multiple self restraints that are as unnatural as religion and the course of human civilization. The path generally trodden is from better to worse and I would want to reverse it. The law of the jungle is the only one to allow clarity in life and?is the one law I can abide by," Jekyll spoke, realizing his excitement made his voice carry over others and quieting it down, just a bit, not at all minding the bizarre looks of the people the three of them passed.
?
"Well, you do know,?those cooking needs of yours, they would make you the best chef in charge. But that is not what I have been talking about, I suppose. You should work for me. I will not raise an eye brow when I see you engaging in your favorite passtimes, you know the physical ones that you crave so often. I would be the perfect employer and am the source of all the fun around you as we discussed. So think about it. If you reject me, being ferociously stubborn, as I?have observed you to be, I would recommend you for the senior chef. What say you," Jekyll wondered curiously, alternating between serious and jovial tones. ??

Leti's gaze fascinated on Henry with avid fascination as he spoke about politics.
?
"But if'in they said they was all out for themselves, all honest like they'd never get the vote. Not from their own and not from them what doesn't like that honest self interest," she pointed out.
?
"But I'd like to know, Dr. 'Enry, what would you do if you was in politics? I mean what would you want?"
Leti's eyes were eager and curious. She looked forward to hearing the answer if he would honestly share it.
?
"You seem honest and I like that. I always wondered what people like you thought," she said, half to herself. "But I have a feelin' most higher society gentleman don't think like you, do they?"
?
?
Rena watched quietly. She wasn't nearly as avid with interest as Leti, but she was following their talk.
?
Her gaze eventually searched the room for the man even as she listened to the other two talking.
?
"What promotion,"Leti asked Henry skeptically.
She didn't see how he could get her promoted here and there? wasn'tanything better to do here anyway.
?
?
"A very good practice that, not to believe them. Oh, I suppose I believe one thing underlying?everything they say. They do want to change something. Only to improve the lives, or the moral fabric of society,, whatever that even means, but their own life style. It doesn't seem to me like the least of Her Majesty's Ministers either come or go impoverished. In truth, I don't mind the self interest itself, I mind it being hidden behind pretty words?and other standards of behavior imposed as a result on...well?I would say society, but you know," Henry spoke vehemently noticing himself being all fired about and about to slip. To let the thin veneer of artificial civilization slide off him like an overused bed sheet.???
?
"Everywhere else? Don't be ridiculous," the good doctor chastised, able to force his jovial tone back out. "Fun is always there wherever I am. I grace your establishment with my presence, that means you are having all the fun you need working there. Although perhaps you should be promoted. A woman of your appetites needs more. Perhaps I shall arrange, after I address that pertinent matter," Henry spoke with?a frown, trying to figure out where was that dolt hiding who mistreated his new friend. ? ? |
Re: The Birth Of Katherine Pierce
Katherine shook her head, ¡°I am definitely...not alright.¡± She had chosen her words and even tone carefully to avoid using her usual sarcasm. There was nothing to be gained from making enemies here, at least not a single thing she could see. Keeping the palm of her hand pressed against the wall to steady herself while looking to the woman she hoped could indeed be of help. ? ¡°It¡¯s not that.¡± There was a sharp intake of breath that followed as she carefully weighed her options which were severely limited. It was a huge risk confiding in anyone but especially someone so new to the supernatural side of things. ¡°It¡¯s her...his wife. She¡¯s trying to regain control and...I don¡¯t know how long I can hold on. ? She took a moment to get her thoughts in order well enough to make this woman understand in the limited time remaining until she was locked away again. Maybe forever. ¡°I suppose I should start at the beginning so to speak.¡± It seemed somehow important for Mina to get to know her first before the explanation could be given.? ? ¡°It was 1490, my family frowned on my little...indiscretion. You see, I had gotten pregnant outside of marriage. My father took my daughter from me right after she was born. I wasn¡¯t even allowed to hold her. Then he exiled me. I found my way here to this city two years later where I met the Mikaelsons. One brother pretended to court me though he did seem to care for me.¡± ? She rarely, if ever, had shared her story as she couldn¡¯t afford the risk that came with such a decision but she needed Mina to see her side and help her get her life back. ¡°I soon learned the reason for his interest...he intended to sacrifice me as part of a ritual to break a curse placed upon him by his own mother. So, not wishing to die, I stole the moonstone and ran.¡± ? There was a long silence that filled the air as she redirected her focus to the inner battle of wills still raging inside of her. As soon as she could speak again without fear of Elisabeta regaining her foothold she continued. ¡°I was running through the woods when this man...a vampire named Trevor caught up with me. He sent me to a cottage where he said that I would be safe.¡± ? ¡°When I got there I was taken in though the woman clearly hadn¡¯t wanted to keep her friend¡¯s promise to me. Sometime later I heard them discussing why I was there and she made it quite clear she meant to hand me over. I would¡¯ve preferred death over being returned to him so I took a knife and stabbed myself in the stomach. But Rose used her blood to heal me so the second there backs were turned I put a noose around my neck and kicked the chair out from under me.¡±? ? She wanted to give Mina time to process everything but there was so much that needed to be said before it was too late so she couldn¡¯t offer that consideration. ¡°That is how I became a vampire. But there¡¯s more..that night when I fled from London I returned home to my village in Bulgaria where I found that he...Klaus had slaughtered my entire family. For the next...almost four centuries I would be on the run.¡±? ? Straightening up though leaving her hand in place against the wall as she wasn¡¯t confident enough to attempt standing without that support. ¡°In 1864, I had everything set to fake my death...the townspeople or rather their founders council members all saw me carried inside while dosed with vervain before the church was set on fire. But I had made a deal with someone who helped me slip away without anyone being the wiser.¡± ? She shut her eyes tightly a moment as she felt dangerously close to loosing her grip. ¡°I was kidnapped shortly after I left town...there were people speaking my native tongue then it all went black. During rare instances where I ¡®surfaced¡¯ I began piecing things together...those people were called Travelers and they made this man...Vlad¡¯s dead wife a passenger inside my body¡¯. I know how it all sounds but it¡¯s the truth.¡±? ? The fingers of her free hand coming up to lightly rub at her temple. ¡°And for the record...you don¡¯t have to sleep in a coffin. Her kind of vampire does. You can also, provided you find a witch who knows the spell, move about during the day as you did before turning with the aid of ¡®daylight ring¡¯.¡± This information she felt equally important for Mina to know.? ? .? |
Re: The Witch is Back (Qetsiyah/Fedora/etc)
Qetsiyah kept a close watch of all present as she listened to the one who claimed to be family. Her mind going back to the story that¡¯d been passed down and how she came across as the vindictive witch who stood in the way of Silas¡¯s happiness. Wasn¡¯t it always the way? If a woman chose to seek revenge when she¡¯d been wronged the man was always cast as the innocent victim. ? These thoughts led to the slightest flick of her left wrist that resulted in the shattering of a glass. It was only a small indication of the anger bubbling just beneath the surface. She couldn¡¯t say precisely why talk of being portrayed as a monster had triggered such a reaction or the train of thought that preceded it. Perhaps it was her own story. ? ¡°Only he¡¯s not really him, is he?¡± She¡¯d managed to glean a little information through her observation of the doppelg?ngers. Though she couldn¡¯t care less about the woman herself she did feel inclined to throw a kink in whatever game the Travelers were playing at. ? ¡°I think you would be hard pressed to find a witch who doesn¡¯t want the thorn that is the existence of the Nine removed.¡± She knew there were countless of them on the Other Side that would rejoice at seeing that happen. Her head tilted somewhat as both marvels and a lack of trustworthy people were brought up.? ? ¡°So, with this...coven of witches at your disposal why resurrect me?¡±? ? ? ? |
Re: Old Friends (Tatia/Rayna/Finn)
Tatia stood motionless simply watching the Huntress quietly wondering where it was her mind went whenever she got that faraway look. There were times she came so close to asking but there always seemed to be this inherent fear of what response would be given. She figured it possible it had some connection with trying to curb the desire to either have Finn or herself at the wrong end of that sword of hers. ? She was most relieved when the sound of his voice jarred her from these thoughts as they often led nowhere good at all. Offering a warm smile in return as she echoed his greeting, ¡°Good evening to you as well.¡± His presence distracting her from all musings with regards to Rayna for the time being. However, it did open the door to ones about his family.? ? ¡°I think so.¡± Staying in was hardly ever a choice she went with given her fondness for making the most out of eternity. She hadn¡¯t asked for it but saw no reason she couldn¡¯t find little things that made it infinitely more enjoyable.? ? ? ? |
Streets Of London (Klaus/Amara/Valerie)
Amara found herself suddenly aware of how closely she was being watched though gave no outward appearance of being so. Perhaps it had to do with being mildly distracted by the woman with waist length blonde hair whose dress was not of this time period. It was odd the way she seemed so focused on Klaus, who like everyone else couldn¡¯t even see her. Who was she? ? The former handmaiden was soon pulled from her thoughts by the sound of his, a little belatedly registering what was asked of her. ¡°I could not begin to guess the effects my blood have on either. It was not long at all after I drank the potion when Qetsiyah took her revenge then from that moment until earlier this night I was powerless to interact with the world around me....and...locked away inside of that sarcophagus.¡± ? She wished she could more helpful with her answer but there was nothing else. Her eyes once more drifting to the strangely dressed blonde staring so intently at Klaus that she seemed not to notice either Valerie or herself. She appeared older than he did though she wasn¡¯t sure what conclusion to draw from that.? ? ? ? ? ? _________ ? ? ? ? Valerie, for her part, walked along in silence going over the night¡¯s conversation with a man she would have otherwise avoided.? |
Re: Life in London
¡°If I were to be honest it wasn¡¯t something I¡¯d intended to but with how well this evening had gone and it being ages since I last had someone aside from my brothers with whom I could speak openly...¡± Rebekah trailed as she thought over what reasons she might have for being so honest with a virtual stranger. It could be as simple as a distraction from thoughts of Marcel or just plain loneliness.? ? The latter being a conversation she reserved for Elijah, the least likely of the three to give her grief. Perhaps she was wrong to assume the others wouldn¡¯t be as understanding, after all, whether they cared to admit it they couldn¡¯t be alright with having no lasting connections beyond the four of them. Five, if one counted Marcel. ¡°It felt like it was time to take a chance.¡± ? She might well live to regret her decision as she so often did. If a person stopped taking risks then were they truly living or merely existing? But perhaps her brothers were more content taking a different kind of risk than the ones she herself took every single time she chased love.? |
Re: Family Drama (Mircea/Nadia)
Nadia was always quick to have her brother¡¯s back even after having been made a passenger inside the body of a vampire who belonged to the Mikaelson bloodlines. It was but one of the many decisions made by the other vampire lords she came to question. Of course, their explanations always came back to feelings her father had for the woman her mother had for the last few decades been a passenger inside of. ? At times she thought that part of his past was a far greater threat to her parents¡¯ marriage than lady Teja¡¯ari ever could be. He had the power to resurrect the dead and yet he¡¯d allowed the actions of the Nine to stand with regards to how his wife and eldest daughter were returned to him.? ? Her eyes widened a bit as a frightening thought occurred to her. ¡®What if Katerina Petrova or as she¡¯d been calling herself back then...Katherine Pierce was regaining control?¡¯ It would certainly explain a few things. It was easier for her mind to latch onto this idea because the thought of her family coming apart at the seams was much too painful after all they¡¯d been through to be reunited. ? She tried to stay focused on the task at hand but the image of a black rose replayed itself in her mind she could feel ¡®Nadia Petrova¡¯ fighting to get enough of a foothold to regain control. The woman had a child with one of the gypsies who served their family?(or rather that of her uncle whom she¡¯d never met)?and they had seemed quite happy for a time until a need to know her own mother had led her to being turned so that she could find her. ? As she understood it that loyalty had never shifted, now whether this woman had any ties with her uncle was a bit of a mystery.? ? Something about that damned black rose had stirred ¡®Nadia Petrova¡¯ and now she was forced to come to a stop as the internal struggle for maintaining control took all her focus. All too often it was much too easy to forget this body wasn¡¯t her own, a thing her brother tended to do as well, but their father always insisted on a Traveler being near her and their mother at all times for this very reason. But since having arrived in London she¡¯d ditched them what with her father being too preoccupied to notice. ? ¡°Mircea?¡± She didn¡¯t feel so well and her voice was strained. It was difficult to say what she¡¯d expected her brother to be able to do about it. Maybe she¡¯d just been frightened at the thought of losing the battle of wills with ¡®Nadia Petrova¡¯ and needed her brother. ? ? ? Re: Late night lab work: (tag, Elizabeth)
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý"I really don't want to displease him at that," Elizabeth agreed with some hesitation. "Perhaps if I am introduced to him, he would understand me better and not be displeased? Unless of course I am not worthy of meeting him in person yet? Is he the leader over even you, Keres? Would he be observing my assignment personally? Do you think he really could find me unworthy? Well, I am not as well trained as some, but I intend to prove myself. Only, it would take time, that is all," Elizabeth uncertainly reassured and realized that her own words indeed supplied the reassurance she needed.
?
Elizabeth was not?entirely pleased with the?mention of bones however, an?unnerving image beginning to flood her mind. They did not seem to treat the idea as seriously as she would have perhaps,?so perhaps the dread on an indestructible skeleton was unfounded. But truly, one could not put anything past a barely understood organization that seemingly involved more than one creature with supernatural powers.
?
The young woman found the sound of a slamming door to be a pleasing distraction from her dark fears and darker memories of?her time in the Beyond. Idly noticing that the man did not seem to be?physically imposing, Elizabeth?had to wonder about his considerable mental powers. He would have to possess those to be worthy of a power like Keres.
?
Elizabeth left still engaged in a kind of stunned contemplation. The worry of displeasing the mysterious Captain Dance plaguing her mind and almost?making her lose the confidence. Fortunately the transformation in her did take place regardless of her emotions. Her skills kicked in when an unexpected robber accosted her on her way. Once she would have chided herself for choosing the barely lit alley that could lead to poorer neighborhoods, but now she was a different woman and relished the challenge.?Of course?only a few hours earlier she would have delivered a fatal blow in response to an unprovoked attack.
?
Now, since her heart was not fully in it, she settled on a half hearted blow. That knocked a tooth out of the man's mouth?and knocked the man himself to the ground. But did not kill him. "Perhaps, next time," Elizabeth spoke out loud, wondering if the man felt as reassured as she started feeling again.?Despite some confusion, some uncertainty and the implied threat of Captain Dance, Elizabeth felt fairly well about herself when she came back to Victor's house.????

"How do you intend to protect yourselves if this lot attempts to destroy you after they get whatever odd thing it is that they are after?"
?
Would she help or care if they did? She knew enough wanted him dead but he was kind to her, so she honestly wasn't sure.

Re: Late Night Lab Work (Victor/Elizabeth)
"Oh you don't want to displease Capin' Dance,"Cylas told Elisabeth.
?
"He's a sweet heart and loyal to the bone,"Keres said, chuckling at some obviously private joke.
?
"Get it, Cylas...to the bone?"
?
A door slammed somewhere in the house.
?
"Ah that would be my husband, Keres said happily.
?
A small man young of feature with white blond hair wandered in.
?
"I think Ive lost time gain. Such a sin," he complained and sighed.
?
Keres stared for a moment thoughtfully then shrugged. "Oh I'm sure it's fine, Darling."
Turning to Elisabeth she said,"I'll show you out."
?
She walked her to the door and bade her to return for a visit soon and..."Enjoy the cream."
?
She shut the door as soon as the other woman had gone through it.?

Re: Old Friends (Tatia/Rayna/Finn)
Finn came down the stairs, dressed to the nines as pride dictated that he at least look presentable. He had a few things to investigate this evening after seeing to the unfortunate necessities that came with the vampiric curse. He had heard whispers of a group that he wished to check more closely into. One who like Rayna dispatched monsters to put it bluntly, but who also worked with some of them who walked the lighter edge...simply because such beings' had powers that even the most sharp minded humans did not. He hoped this group may have an idea of how to help him with the Freya situation. She'd done as much for him and even if she hadn't been the reason he was undaggered, he'd do anything for his sister. Not so much the others for a list of reasons as long as London, but for Freya he would. She was different...she was what he used to be...still longed to be whenever he allowed himself to contemplate it which was far too often for his liking. No use dwelling on that which he couldn't fix.
?
?
"Good evening," he greeted Tatia with a warm smile.
?
"Headed out yourself?"

Re: Old Friends (Tatia/Rayna/Finn)
Rayna lifted her gaze at the sound of approaching footsteps offering a polite nod of acknowledgement. Like so often in years past she could feel those who bore her mark whenever they were close and one of them was now. ?Inclining her head as if listening to something in the distance with a mildly preoccupied look on her face until she managed to force thoughts of the hunt from her mind.
¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª Tatia paused catching the preoccupied look on Rayna¡¯s face she decided against making the usual small talk. Her decision one that afforded ghosts of the past a chance to take hold. For centuries, outside of her friendship with Freya, she had made a point of avoiding the family responsible for the loss of her own. It wasn't as if they killed her child but the actions of Elijah that afternoon followed by those of Esther had made it impossible for her to be a part of it.? Then eighty three years ago during when last her friend was awake¡Freya was so adamant about being reunited with the brother she knew from childhood that she couldn't argue with her. At first it was an idea that was terrifying due to the risk of either Niklaus or worse Elijah discovering her. Once upon a time that fear would have made more sense. Fears aside she went with Freya to where her locator spell said that her brother Finn would be and the two stole his coffin. They hadn't removed the dagger immediately in spite of knowing transporting her brother alone would have made for a far simpler outing. She supposed that Freya had been nervous, afraid she might not be able to convince him of who she was but things had worked out. She looked to the stairs quietly wondering whether he had gone out already as the company would be nice. Inviting the Huntress along was always an option but one ran the risk of it turning into an awkward evening. Occasionally that wasn't the case but whatever drove her to pursue vampires as relentlessly as she did had more of a hold at times. |
