His mother having been a witch, Klaus wasn't overly surprised by what Amara revealed, though he bet the poor doctor, grounded in things he could see and touch, was having a bit of an emotional...situation with it all, or perhaps simply disbelieving it as so many mortals found sanity and safety in doing.

"But is this Anchor required for anything," Klaus asked. "Is there a reason to it other than revenge? Was there one before you that your mistress destroyed in order for you to take her p,ace or did she merely invent the post for your own personal punishment?"

The questions were calm and thoughtful rather than dripping with sympathy, but that was just who Klaus was. His mind was racing over possibilities for ways to cut the ties of this spell from Amara lest she lose her mind entirely...because he was quite certain he would.

"I am aware of some very powerful witches and combined they can do great things," he explained.
?
"It is my hope that enough understood about this allows them the information they need to free you of it. They will have a price, of course, witches always do, but we can surely arrange something."
