Locked Re: No Place Like London (Victor/Henry/Rena/Leti)

Victor had also paid his own fare, ?plus extra for a tip, since the couple would be getting home first, and the driver would have to drive extra to take him home. ?Catching the drivers name, he had given a smile and stated, here you are, good sir Harold, I live only a few streets down from them. He would be getting off ?last, unless of course the driver knew a shorter route. ?With a contented sigh, he had settled back into his own seat opposite the couple, and it was taking every bit of willpower he had simply to stay awake until he got home. ?He thought to himself that he needed to remain awake long enough to get safely inside his house, indulge in a small to moderate glass of his youth potion, undress, and get himself into bed. ?The potion was a concoction of various herbs and minerals, designed to promote restful sleep, increase energy, and promote anti-aging. ?He hoped that it would have a somewhat sobering effect on him, erasing some of the effects of his overindulgence of alcohol, which rarely if ever, happened. ?Much of it, no doubt, had been due to having people with whom to actually socialize, such was indeed a rare occurrence for the scientist. ?But if he were honest with himself, Victor would have to admit that some of his action this evening had been due to seeing the couple together, and wishing once more for his beloved Elizabeth. ?That thought, which of course reminded him that Elizabeth was gone, gave rise to even darker thoughts about his creation. ?I should have expected such petulance, he thought to himself, taking away what was mine, depriving me, simply because he was not allowed to have the same fortune. ?Didn't he realize, I was only trying to protect all of us, him included, Victor asked himself; ?who's to say that if I had made him a wife, she wouldn't have turned on¡ Him, just because I created her to be his wife, that doesn't mean it would have ?actually worked out for them. ?He casually looked out the window, watching to see exactly where it was that Reena and Henry would disembark, such information might be handy for the future, he decided. ?He occasionally glimpsed the couple with detached interest, feeling satisfied that at least, he had helped what had seemed to be a distressed young lady at the beginning of the evening. She certainly did not seem to be distressed¡ Now. ?When they reached the couples destination, Victor would wave to them congenially, and would wish them¡ A pleasant evening to the both of you.

God loves you.
