Ben frowned in slight offense when Rebecca spoke of his query of floor board tricks denial.

"Or rather not playing the fool and falling for every thing without harder proof. I shall not be one of those fools who believes anything presented to them...That would be the opposite of denial, too much of a need for something..."

He shrugged, now not being the time to delve into the philosophy of he mind.

"As you have provided further proof...Though, I have no theory to counter it...Just how...how is such a thing possible," he asked, stunned wonder creeping back over his face.

He did rise and poke at the floor boards, taking his seat again quickly enough when he saw nothing a miss. Of course were it a good trick it would be well hidden but there was no way to trick such cuts and healing. At least none that he knew of.

When Rebecca announced in response to his question that witches and werewolves were also real he gave a short laugh...Hysterical? Not exactly but...it was a lot to take in. He blinked several times.

"Witches and werewolves," he said slowly.

"Both pains in the ass,"Kol muttered with an eye roll.

He grinned at his sister's suggestion of working for a freak show.

"You know...That's actually not a half bad idea, Sis..."

He sank back in the chair, seriously considering the benefits. Travel, lots of ready food, the travel allowing easy escapes if anything...went amiss. And...just something interesting to do. He got bored, and if he were traveling in such a show, he'd be far enough away from Klaus to avoid being coffined at least for a time the next time their eldest brother was feeling...protective and kindly.

Ben just sat in thought of his own, processing and pondering all the things Rebecca had told him. The things vampires could do seemed fascinating, but the drinking blood bit seemed...nasty...then again if it was a craving...

"Wait...You were eating tonight. Or was that some sort of trick?"

Odd the things the mind went back to. After discovering that vampires existed, not to leave out the witches and werewolves, he was wondering about the food? Well why not? Wasn't it as good a thing to wonder as anything else?

"There are rabbits, fish, birds, lions...so many animals on this planet. Some strange ones and most of them as unlike the others to be complete aliens from another planet when you think about it, so considering that why am I even surprised," he said, surprising himself somewhat by speaking the thought aloud.

"Good point. Interesting way to think about it," Kol mused.
"As varied as freaks in a freak show..." He concluded, clearly indicating to what topic his mind had just returned.
