Franceska exchanged another look with Renfield then opened her car door and slid over to allow Rebecca to go around the car and get in.

"You can give us directions then," she said pleasantly.
"It likely won't take long to learn this little town but right now it's still new. If we can navigate LA, this will be nothing, though," she said with a chuckle.

She was practically itching to call Vlad and allow him to listen in on speaker, but it would be a bit difficult to explain so she held off. She felt annoyed at the thought of desiring protection from the annoying vampire king...and hated the fact the vampire's hands around her neck had been so frightening...She was supposed to have a death safeguard but truly preferred not to use it. Sighing she leaned against Renfield, pleased to have any excuse to be close to him.
