I regularly use mineral oil as tapping fluid. Seems to work great and very low odor as well.

I like the idea of using a wax on gliding surfaces just not sure about the type of wax that you are using. A liquid teflon based wax might work better than paraffin wax but I don¡¯t know. *Have A
