??? I'm hangin with George on the communicator status . My experience with a lot of these import China motors is yer gonna go through brushes & eventually eat the commutator . Example , everything that I have bought with a motor cept for my original 4x6 band saw came with spare brushes & the ones they send with the tools loose size . I don't know if these lathes come with the spare brushes or not , but I know if I had one of these lathes I'd be checkin my brushes every so often . Milwaukee used to send spare brushes that were stores inside the tool . I have drills that I bought in the late 70's or early 80's with the spare brushes , but if ya held the replacement ones next to the ones I've been using for over 40 years there isn't a whole lot of difference between the 2 . I know for a fact that ya can't say that about the any of the? 4 1/2 grinders or any of the drills, sawzalls or multi tools that folks have brought to me to see if I could fix them that were shipped over the ocean .
