The erosive effect of electrical discharges was first noted in 1770 by English physicist Joseph Priestley. EDM was for machining around the 1940's . Before the 1940's they used sand / grit and ground down the part.?? I do not know about tap removal the first ad I found was in 1950's. It is downloaded section.?? Dave? Craig Hopewell 6:51am? ? Good stuff. There is a huge amount of technology out there. I'm still in the age of simple machining and napkin design. No edm, CAD, mill power feed, CNC, etc. 8^) |
