I left the nice bike world just about the time that Shimano & Suntour were starting to give Campagnolo a run . It was really becoming a hassle arguing with store managers that the reason my bike was on my shoulder is cause it was worth more than most cars in his parking lot . Brass chains were big back then .

Chains now are matched to the exact gear system. ?For example I have an 11-speed Shimono 105 system. ? Drivetrain parts don¡¯t interchange like they did decades ago. ? It¡¯s all carbon fiber except the bearing and gears and chain. ? ??

Then there are kid¡¯s bikes. ?But no kid, here is So. Calif would be seen dead on a non-electric bike.
