Closest would be the 3-speed hub gear.? Mainly found on kids bikes, usually with the shifter on the crossbar. ? Been around for about 100 years, Sturmey Archer is who you need to Google.? I think Shimano make them as well. ? They made a bit of a comeback with early electric bikes before it was decided putting the motor inside the rear hub was a good idea. ? Tony ? ?
