Alan: Thanks for speedy answer. As a company I think I prefer Enco
ove HF. After holidays I shall go to Enco. Regards Ted. --- In 4x6bandsaw@..., "Alan Riley" <ariley@c...> wrote: Ted, my Enco has cast iron blade guide brackets.someone be bladegood enough to tell me who supplies the bandsaw with cast iron Tedguide brackets rather than pressed steel. Grizzly does and the current price is $185, made in Taiwan and their
model also includes an arm lock, i.e. a pin in the arm to keep it closed, or fully up. --- In 4x6bandsaw@..., "embfeniscowles12" <embfeniscowles12@y...> wrote: There are many sources of supply for the 4x6 Bandsaw. Will someone be |

Ted, I have no regrets going with the Enco saw. I got the cheapest

version, the one with the non-USA, non-UL motor and haven't had a problem with it. Mine is on a mobile base that I welded up from square steel tubing and flat bar. The saw is bolted to the mobile base and is very solid with it set up this way, quite unlike the flimsy factory arrangement. Happy Holidays, Alan Riley ----- Original Message -----

Check your local farm stores for the Clarke brand $169.00, has cast
brackets, and the head casting looks to be heavier than HF and others, Also has shelf in the base. The HF which I have has cast alum. arms, which are very poor in my opinion.
