Can't help - haven't had the guts to try it in the vertical position yet
@;-) Are you saying this isn't a mounting issue?

Not so good vibrations
Today while I was cutting some O1 stock with my saw in the vertical
position, it was vibrating a fair amount. After doing some checking
(removing blade, removed the v-belt) I find it's the motor.

Re: spam in this 4x6 group
No problem Dave. I hated to do it, but, apparently the folks who do
this just enjoy being a bother to open groups. I may change it back
in the future, if it looks like we won't get hit with crap

Ack - too late.
Once you change it to restricted you can NEVER undo it. Going to Moderated
would have been the thing to do, or even leaving it unmoderated and
moderating posts from new members (this

spam in this 4x6 group
Due to the recent series of unwanted posts, i've moved membership to
the restricted level. This just means I'll have to approve anyone
who wants to join. I removed the offending accounts as well.

Re: Blade slips off
Welcome, you're in the right place.
If the saw is new or very recently purchased, I'd return it. If you
can't, then I'd try to take the upper wheel off and see if something
was worn.

Re: Saw Stands
no, the original legs are long gone. One day in the shop I stepped
sideways to grab something without looking and managed to bend the
leg on one end. So that sort of ended the original legs. On

Re: Saw Stands
Looks good, but what's wrong with the original stand? Do it see the
original's legs still attached in the picture?

Saw Stands
Hi,
I uploaded a picture of the quickie saw stand I built. It's 2x4's, a
piece of plywood, some casters, and a sheet of peg board. Look in
the "Photos" section on the website.
The pegboard

Re: gear help maybe?
Ryan,
Thank you.
I need a 2" dia. 23 tooth gear.
Do you know if part #23 meets that criteria?
I bought the saw used. It is red and made by Northern Tool. The only markings on the saw are: BS

Re: Digest Number 54
It appears similar to the now-discontinuted one HF had about 4 years
ago, except they referred to theirs as a "tabletop" model since it had
no legs on the stand. Plus, you'll note there is no spring

Re: New poll for 4x6bandsaw
Look at the bandsawgears.jpg picture in the photos page and see if
you can decipher it, first, then which part it is that you are
roughly looking for. I think it's #23, but I could be wrong. If

Re: New poll for 4x6bandsaw
The poll should have check boxes, not radio buttons. You should be
able to pick muiltiple choices by checking an additional choice. I
choose 6 & 10-14, for example.

Re: Is this a new type of 4 x 6 bandsaw? - Anyone else seen this?
Well, From the looks of it, the motor's repositioning puts less
weight at the end of the saw casting. This could help a tiny bit by
adding some downward force to the blade as it cuts in the

Re: New poll for 4x6bandsaw
Dave,
I cut the aluminum 3/4" plate with a 10 tooth blade in my sazall. It did not
jump like it was with the 24tpi.
Thanks,
