Forgot to say: from the name plate, yours is a standard 4x6.?
5x6's have their guides turn the blade through 45 degrees to get a 1/2" extra round stock cutting capacity where a 4x6 is turned at 40 degrees.? Called a 4x6 because that's its rectangle cutting capacity even though it will cut 4 1/2" round - jv

Agree with Animal - its always the first thing
Lay sawframe horizontal before taking off the cover or it spills everywhere. If they've overfilled it (above the lip on the casting when horizontal) it will anyway
Don't top up, they use crap oil.
Suck out the oil with a 60ml syringe (get free as used from a large animal vet - horses need lots of tranquilizer!)
60-80ml Mobil SHC634 80/90 or 140wt synthetic gear oil is best. (motorcycle shops often have small quantities)?

Assembly of the stand was kind of tricky because the stand relies on the base of the saw to keep its shape. I had to attach the stand with the saw on its side, then roll it over onto the feet. I had to get my wife to help with the lifting for that part. Assembled, it seems to be very sturdy.

?

My next step is to clean off the shipping grease and following John Pitkins article (in the now working “Files” section,) get it all aligned.

?

I will post an update once everything is tuned and cutting, but I wanted to get the word out about the sale price.

Attached are a few photos of the boiler plates, cast iron wheels and blade guides.??There is a marking on the bottom of the base casting “WK W.”?

Yes, I now see the files too. I could not see any this morning,. Apparently it was just another transient yahoo glitch.? Anyone interested perhaps should download whatever they want while the yahoo gods are in a good mood!

Thanks? for all the responses.? It looks like Yahoo lost the files section.? They may or may not come back.? There is nothing we (group admin) can do about it, Yahoo provides no support contacts AFAIK.? I will make sure the group owner is aware of the issue.

I can see the photos, but it’s hard to tell what the photo is trying to show. There aren’t any comments or descriptions with the photos.

I’m able to go through and see the attachments section. When I go into one of them and follow a url to a file it takes me to the file page and it’s blank. Guess I’ll wait for the admin.?
