Re: Table for Vertical Cuts with HFT Bandsaw

john walker

Question for all you fans of the? vertical table for your 4x6:

I made a table as well as used the included table for vertical cuts.
Try as I might I cannot keep the blade from coming off the wheels.

The saw works fine in the horizontal but as soon as I cut in the vertical position - pop - off comes the wheel.

I have tried everything, I think. The blade is where it's supposed to be on the wheels and very tight.
Not sure how it could work ok horizontally but not vertically.

Any suggestions?

Nice table.? I am shocked that someone doesn¡¯t sell these by now!? Maybe they do and I just haven¡¯t seen it yet.? Most can easily make one, but I would rather spend my limited time on making other stuff.

And my version:

1/4 inch aluminum plate mounted using the factory holes for the crappy stamped table that came with the saw.

That table is very nice, thanks for posting! I think I will make a smaller version. I like using the vise, easy on/off. Well done..Seb.

Re: Table for Vertical Cuts with HFT Bandsaw

Thanks for the jpeg. It is worth the wait.

Apple has introduced a new image format in iOS 11 called HEIF. Because the Apple app uses a patented image compressor it is not all that common outside the Apple world.

Here it is as a .jpeg ...?

I have a simpler method, if Linux won't view it without installing something, I don't look at it.? More things to see than I have time for so I skip videos (or skip to the last 30 seconds) and skip anything that won't display or requires me to sign up or anything.? FB and Twitter are pretty much automatically skipped.

I posted all the time with my iPhone. Just make sure you get jpeg photos.?

I did have trouble, and first found instructions that didn't work on my machine. Fortunately for me, Other Bill found instructions that did work on mine, because I was already getting grumpy. I have been playing with computers since the late 70's. I think they're great toys, but I still don't think they're ready for prime time. I want computers that just work. Fault tolerant and self-repairing would be just below that on my list of necessaries. Yeah, that's right. I want it all, plus ten percent! ;) When I'm playing with a computer it's ok if it needs me to figure things out and fix them. When I'm doing something with a computer, I need it to work. And mine wasn't.?
