I don't have a problem with you doing it. I just don't think everyone
on the web should expect their local HF to cut them a deal like this.
If they want to price match fine, but I have seen some customers go a
little overboard in this respect...

You could say this about most of the HF tools and say a Makita. We all
know that, even though the appearance and hype are the same, the tools
are not the same.
There are plenty of past posts on how parts interchangeability between
the various saws is not good.
I think I recall reading that Homier was made in the PRC while my HF
unit was made in Taiwan. I could be wrong about this though as I have
never seen a Homier in the flesh.
