PROJECTS?? Well ...I'm into Industrial Electronics Engineering, mainly Instrumentation and Process Control. But I combined my Electronics skills?with Mechanical Engineering and I take on unusual projects especially designing and manufacturing custom machinery and stuff from Corrosion Monitoring Systems to Packaging Machines to Theatrical Props and stuff (I love?a wild?challenge). I used to use a commercial machine shop to do most of my work but found that I cannot get the finish I need and their schedules were off the wall. So I equipped my shop with a a 9x20 Lathe, Mini-Mill, 4x6 bandsaw, Drill Presses, MIG Welder?and a bunch of other machines and tooling. So now it's pretty much all done in-house except for really latge stuff which is farmed out to the commercial guys. (got a really, really?cool electronics instrumentation lab also).
I therefore use the 4x6 Bandsaw to cut stock for machining processes. I work with Steel, Stainless, Brass, Bronze, Aluminum, Phenolics, Teflon and the range of synthetics. The Bandsaw just about cuts it all. Modifications: Recirculating Coolant System, Worklamp?and Lenox Bi-Metal Blade .....See the photos section.? Project on the bench now: I am?building a CNC Universal 3-axis table. Initially this table will do panel engraving so I can produce my own labeled panels. Later, it will also accommodate a Plasma Cutter head or a Router. It's just about done save for some wiring to be completed before the "smoke test".

Okay we all got pretty much the same saw.
It's an amazing little machine but it just cuts stuff.
What do you do with the stuff you cut ?
I cut and weld a lot 1 1/2" sq. 16ga. tubing. (I get it free)
I've made a welding table, a patio table, wood rack, a bench to
mount my clays thrower, saw stand to replace the sheet metal one
that came with my saw, and a bunch of other things.
Anybody making money with their saw ? Production work ? Auto feed ?
Who's got projects going ?
Who's using the vertical ? Whatcha cuttin ? Any tips ?
