Yes, I've done some experimenting myself although not as intense as you've done and found that the unit is pretty darned good. I did not buy the machine anticipating precision cuts at all but rather as a rough-cut device to save on "elbow-grease". Only to find that precision cuts are the order of the day on these machines ...what a happy bonus!

I know that Im off topic on this so dont bust my chops too much. Posted this on the Mini-mill groups and no feedback, but really need some advise. I am about to purchase a Grizzly G8689 Mini-Mill along with a bunch of accessories including a Rotary Table and Dividing Plates. I am primarily interested in cutting gears within the capacity of the machine for various projects. Where can I find information on this aspect of milling and what cutters should I go out and get?
